漂移錬成の改善希望/Driftsmelting improvements

Capcom should do a statistical analysis of every time that a player has completed a driftsmelt and clicked “Don’t Swap”. I would be willing to bet that it is close to 100%.

The fact that the player is even presented with the “Swap / Don’t Swap” dialogue means that they have already walked a minimum of five kilometres, only to have something dumped upon them that is of no use to them. Or at least, of not enough use to them that they want to keep it, but instead commit to another driftstone and another five kilometres of walking for something else - something better - on that same armour piece.

And them selecting “Don’t Swap” means that although the previous ability that had been driftsmelted onto the armour piece was not good enough to be worth keeping, this latest driftsmelt is EVEN LESS worth keeping than the previous one.

By the time that you have done fifty kilometres of walking and smelting onto the SAME PIECE of your potentially FIFTY different armour pieces (10 builds, 5 pieces of armour per build, yes there will be a few duplicates, but potentially fifty different pieces), you have run out of driftsmelt space on that particular armour piece.

So you get asked which one of the previous ten smelts - that in their own right were individually not worth keeping - is worth keeping even less than the new one, plus the other nine, are worth keeping. And so you have to delete one of the previous ten smelts. Or maybe you delete the one that you have just forged because it is even more worthless than the ten smelts that you had previously forged.

By the time that you have had to choose which so-called “skill” to delete, half a dozen times or more, ON THE SAME ARMOUR PIECE, when each discard has cost you five kilometres of walking, and that single armour piece has cost you nearly 100 kilometres of walking, and you still don’t have anything remotely useful out of it, it stops being funny.

現状/Current Status

The yellow skills basically don’t drop. Nor do the half-useful next few. First Mysterious Driftstone event: 25+ Mysterious Driftstone A smelted, zero Dragon Attack. Second Mysterious Driftstone event: 25+ Mysterious Driftstone B smelted, zero Partbreaker. Only the “XYZ Resistance” so-called “skills” drop. And occasionally the equally useless “Attack Boost” or “Defence Boost”.

Analysis is needed on how many players not only click “Don’t Swap” (I would guess close to 100%) but then never again do a driftsmelt on that piece of armour because they finally got something that they wanted. My guess is that it would be next to zero.

結構な回数の錬成を回してきた結果、特に色々な装備構成で幅広く活躍する汎用防具については、10だと少々足りなくなってきています。

実際、自分はプケプケ亜種の頭に消したくないスキルが10個溜まってしまっていたため、先日のなぞの漂流石での錬成を見送らざるを得ない状況でした。

今後新しいスキルがさらに増えていくにあたり、段々とそのような状況がネックになり、イベントを十分に楽しみにくくなりそうなので、可能ならばどこかでもう少し上限解放をお願いしたいです。

ちなみに、「グレード9まで上げたら+5」などの条件付きでも最悪構わないと個人的には思っています。

現在1つの防具につき、10個の漂移錬成スキルが保存可能

企業的にはスキル枠の追加100ジェム/個あたりが良い商売になりそうですが、泡沫死中装備のように汎用性が高い防具も現れたわけですし、枠の追加があればとても嬉しいですね。

正直、個人的には防具を指定せずに錬成して、錬成後に装備を指定して装着にして欲しかった…

【漂流純石の存在意義】
既存トピックにも挙がっているが通常の錬成100回と引き換えに与えられる漂流純石がコストに見合った効果が無い。加えて、
・通常の漂流石と所持枠を共有している為、受け取るのにスペースが足りない場合がある
・イベント時に専用の純石が追加されるケースがあるが、その為に欠片を温存しようにも200個までしか持ち切れない(100個単位でしか消費できないのに200個が限界の意味がわからない)

【純石の廃止と欠片の消費ルートの追加】
漂流純石を廃止、錬成開始時に欠片を一定数消費して目的のスキルを得る(又は抽選幅を狭める)方式とする。
・漂流純石を廃止する事で通常の漂流石で所持枠いっぱいでも欠片が使用可能となる
・欠片の消費数を100以外の選択肢を設ける事で200個上限の枠内でやりくりできるようにする

●具体的案
通常の漂流石で抽選されるスキルの内、
・全色共通枠(ジャスト巧撃?お前は帰れ)
〜耐性系など。錬成開始時に欠片を30消費する事でスキルを指定できる(又は共通枠のみに対象を絞って抽選できる)
・色ごとの固有枠(金色枠以外)
錬成開始時に欠片を70消費する事でスキルを指定できる(又は該当枠にのみ対象を絞って抽選できる)
・色ごとの当たり枠(金色スキル)
錬成開始時に欠片を120消費する事でスキルを指定できる
(又は金色枠にのみ対象を絞って抽選できるジャスト巧撃?だから帰っていいぞ

【錬成スキルの移し替えについて】
前提として目当てのスキルを狙った防具につけられない状態(ランダム性が強すぎる)への対策・改善案となる。
上記案が採用されるなら不要だが、現状のままならせめて最低限こちらは実装されてほしい

Game is getting better and better with all the events and season release, but the driftsmelt system really need to be improved.
It is super super frustrating when you complete 10+ driftsmelt in days / weeks and finally got a rare skill but that rare skill is the wrong skill for that equipment!
I have done 188 driftsmelt now (based on the shard count), and only 6 rare skills, and only 1 rare skill is on the correct equipment. Basically it means only 1 out of 188 driftsmelt is success. 188 driftsmelts means 940 km of walks…that is really too much.

Few suggestion to improve the system:

  1. The best for players QoL:
    make the driftsmelt result equip-able & move-able, not locked on equipment, just like the skill stone in Monster Hunter World. this would solve the frustration when player finally got a rare skill but it is on wrong equipment. From design point of view, this would also make driftstone with preset implementation much easier, as each driftstone skill would be just a independent record in the database.

Other possible way of improvements are:
2. Acceptable but not the best QoL:
Open up more driftsmelt slot, may be 3 for all players and 2 additional for the premium pass. this would at least accelerate the process.
3. Acceptable but not the best QoL:
When exceed 9 driftstones, the additional drop can be converted to shard which can be used to exchange pure driftstone. this would also accelerate the process, and it also require player to play more. Maybe also reduce the shard needed from 100 to 50.
4. Another pay-item but maybe okay:
Sell some driftstone skill transfer item in the store which can be used to transfer drtiftstone skill from one equipment to another. As a player, I hate another pay item, but the current driftsmelt process is way too frustrating, so pay item would be at least a little better.

#1 would be the best option from player point of view,
but #2, #3, #4, would at least help in some extent

  2. Only one driftsmelt process at a time
  3. It need 5k walk for the process to complete
  4. It need 100 driftsmelts to exchange one pure driftstone
  5. Pure driftstone is also random.

Agree with you 100%.

I have had almost zero luck in getting anything useful on any of my armour pieces, but I walk a lot and smelt normally at least a couple of driftstones per day. It has got to the point where all of my armour pieces are full and I am replacing an old worthless smelt with a new worthless smelt. It has even got to the point where I am getting exact duplicates of the existing worthless smelts that I already have.

The fact that the player has even got to ten smelts on the same piece of armour means that not one of the previous smelts was worth having, or at least, that it doesn’t stop you from hoping for something better. But better never comes.

Once or twice, “better” actually has come, but never on an armour piece that works with what you are trying to build. So I have a Paralysis Attack on an armour piece that I can’t use, a Sleep Attack on an armour piece that I can’t use, and so on. I even have TWO Poison Attack smelts on an armour piece that is not remotely usable for a poison build.

Smelts need to be transferable. The current system is unworkable and demoralising.

My suggestion
-about the 5KM driftsmelt, drive too fast cannot, so need to use bike/walk just for drifstmelt efficiently,not everyone usually walk/drive bike for 5km just for 1 drifstmelt sometimes we use bus,train,taxi (speed restriction), i propose defeat large monster also reduce 100meter each, so 5Km need to kill 50 monster, of course we need to walk to kill that amount of monster right, especially with the rate of getting rare skill that we need which total random, and also status

-skill that has been get, and it suppose for another equipment can be move to another equipment via pay item let say 300 gems, there is an option of insta smelt solution for instant driftsmelt, but there is no moving skill solution? So why insta, just walk until you get what you want

-status, its already frustated to get the skill that we want, now facing another status issue, its a joke right its there in the first place, rarely people going to do another driftsmelt for status purpose, i propose there is an insta status solution as well (cheaper than insta driftsmelt solution coz we didnt receive the shard), just to gacha status

☆6〜☆7→闇討ちや回避距離などの当たりではないけど使えるスキル
☆8〜☆10→当たり3枠

各錬成石を順に1km3km5kmで錬成できるようにする。

純石は7km

各色の純石はすべての(各色の)スキルを選べる。

ユーザーに有利すぎて運営が嫌がりますよね笑

Driftsmelting is too luck related and getting the desired skill is hard enough.

  • Gems should be guaranteed to roll the specific skill you wanted. You have already walked atleast 500km, getting a 33% chance to roll a skill with random substats is just another painpoint.
  • Rolling your non-desired skill is too discouraging. Imagine getting the correct roll only once and keep getting the other 2 all the time.
  • Rerolling the bonus stat should be the hardest hurdle and it should not be getting the right skill in the slot. (The current grind is way worse than looking for that charm to make that perfect armor set)

Walking 5km for one stone is a mixed bag for me.

  • Doctors recommend that people walk 10,000 step (8km) a day. Pretty sure the amount needed to successfully complete your driftsmelting dreams is going to take more than an average person can take.
  • There should be other ways to increase progress like successfully hunting large monsters.
  • the GPS distance update isn’t even accurate or consistent.
  • You would often have more stones to fill your inventory than the distance it takes to smelt even half of the desired stones you get.
  • is it so hard to provide additional benefits to the hunter pass to mitigate such pain points?

Please make getting the skills needed easier. Decorations were always there to tide you over to the next armor skills and make your favorite armor sets accommodate your playstyle until you make the next set.

You don’t even show the rates table for the driftsmelts. Where can we report the lack of roll tables for the stats?

防具に保存できるスキルの上限数を増やして欲しい。現行の上限10個だと、ミツネ胴のようなスロット数が2つの防具だと足りなくなる。例えば属性強化を2個ずつだったり、その他の有用スキルやジャスト巧撃だったりが併存できない。

自分は適当にやっているので全然問題ないですが、今回のイベントでもガチ勢の嘆きをかなり聞こえてきてます。
ガチ勢が楽しめなくなっている仕様は改善した方がいいと思います。引退しますよ彼ら

重複の無限ループするハズレスキル問題
天井が無いガチャ問題
提供割合も不明なガチャ問題

改善した方が良いのは事実だけど下手にこのトピックに纏めた結果いろんな内容の改善案が詰まってしまっているので改善しようにもどの改善案使えばいいかわからないという状態なのがね…
まあそんな現状なのでここに改善案書くより新しくトピック立ててそこに改善案書いた方が良いと思います
