Part breaking means dealing a certain amount of damage to a monster’s part and breaking that part. If you successfully break a monster’s part, you will receive a broken part reward in addition to the basic rewards.
The parts that can be broken differ depending on the type of monster. The breakable parts and weak points of large monsters may vary depending on the monster.

How to gain the most of R2,R4 Materials
1)You simply need to identify where the part comes from.
2) especially the R2 and R4 parts.
3) Break those parts 1st. Then the rest of the parts are relevant .
4)use many different type of weapons.
My wife and i using this strategy can gain 60+ Azure Rathalos tails/ pink rathian wings.
The parts we focus on…
1)Tail
2) Head
3) back.
For pink rathian.
The parts we focus on …
both wings

Thats 3 parts for two different type of monsters that always net my wife and i the most parts.
This is how we gain 60+ azure tails/pink rathian wings on even happier hunting event between field monsters and hunt a thon monsters.
** Raw Negative Affinty / Paralysis / Sleep weapons are the Best for the MOST BREAKS **
**The Negative Affinty ** hits make you typically deal less dmg and this gives you a bigger window of parts to break from the monsters health pool.
Paralysis stuns the monster in place and increases ALL players attacks by 10%. There is also the opportunity for repositioning for the next part during this time.
Sleep alows you when combined with Gyroscope/Free aim to accurately place the biggest possible damage in one single hit which is great for putting big numbers on a part with major health to it.
Learning the ways of **Gyroscope/Free Aim ** also increases reaction time in between positioning for parts as you don’t need to waste time dodge rollinh you just tilt/pivot phone.
