Please buff LBG for real

Im not really feel any buff for LBG . A 8star black diablos cant be kill if you dont aim his wing, and my weapon is 10-2 LGB. And radobaan 9star recommended grade9 weapon to be kill, and my LGB cant finish the job. What a funny standard.

**and my legiana lgb is 10-3 now…juz found a 9*black diablos whole round finish i only do 50% damage only… those bullet damage reduce by distance and spread bullet are really bad. most of the time you are trying to dodge and dash to it and it start screaming and digging underground and rushing non stop. I think 10-5also can kill if solo

*10-4now cant even kill a normal 9 diablos (5-10% hp left). Spread armor and normal armor is just useless. I would love to see official post a video using a lbg and teach us how to clear black diablos.

For ranged weapons, you’re supposed to be aiming for weak spots only. It came from the time when players are just spamming shots and can still kill monsters without having to aim properly, and that’s real unfair to melee players. Therefore, the argument of “…diablos can’t be killed if you don’t aim its wings” is moot. I use bow and LBG, and I have been enjoying taking them down by exploiting their weak spots and not just shooting at any body part.

If you want to break its horns or cut its tail, use another weapon that’s more suited for the job. I have a hammer/lance for this purpose.

Radobaan is a special case, namely because its whole body is armoured, and you have to break a body part and then focus on shooting that broken part if you want to have a good chance of killing it. Its hindlegs are one of the best targets to go for; break one and focus on it until it dies.

I agree. The monsters’ bullet resistance is too high.

The best solution is to revert it to the state it was in before the nerf last year.

That’s not really true, it’s currently e.g. not possible to kill a 9* Rathalos or Rathian with a 10-2 LBG Thunder (Kadachi). Not even if I aim at the wings or head the whole time. A pukei-pukei might work. just barely. And a 9* Black Diablos is equipped with a 9-5 ice weapon (Legiana), which is the recommendation not to kill even if you constantly aim at the wings.

It is possible with to take down 9-star Rathian with 10.2 Tobi LBG (https://youtu.be/hmVu1CiTE7c; not my video). How consistent, that would be due to various factors, mostly luck and strategy. The author also could not take down 9* Rathalos with 10.2 Tobi LBG (Reddit - Dive into anything), so you would likely need to upgrade it further.

I managed to take down 9* Rathalos only at 10.3 Pukei Bow (https://youtu.be/6aAh3ssjoCI). 10.2 was very close but always misses just 1 salvo to kill it despite my best attempt.

Field Black Diablos has even more HP than Rathalos. I don’t expect that you can take it down with anything less than grade 10 weapons. Its attacks are also difficult for players to keep attacking constantly without break.

The scaling of the monster difficulty and toughness at 9-star basically require Grade 10 weapons for most players. I don’t believe I have seen players taking down 9* Black Diablos (the field ones, not the urgent quest ones since they have lesser HP now than the field ones) with Grade 9 weapons. If so, then this is a wall that simply needs to be scaled, and you still have room to improve (overgrade to 10.x).

Don’t give up yet.

Don’t bother with what the game recommends. Honestly, Monster Hunter is a game where you can’t have a simple “recommendation” template for every monster since each weapon type has its pros and cons against each monster. I believe MHNow is the only Monster Hunter game that has such weapon recommendation. Don’t bother with it. Just keep upgrading and pushing your limits until you scale the wall.

ライトボウガン仕様は改善すべき、球を任意で切り替え出来るようにすべき、散弾の射程をもう少し伸ばすべき、

I feel like this is an issue very specific to a shot type rather than weapon type. Granted my data is of lower grade (6* 5/5) but still. Using zinogre lbg I’m managing to take down any lightning weak monster at 7 :star: and with perfect run an 8 :star: pukey pukey. Zino has piercing and sticky ammo. I dont have the resources to craft kadachi one to back me up, but doesn’t it have spread which has a tendency to hit everything but weakspot unless you are really close and personal? I know for certain that legiana have spread and barioth is some janky spread pierce combo

From the perspective of a newbie to MH Now: As someone who mains LBG in the main series, I had to decide to go with SnS for Now, which is a shame considering how fun LBG still is to use in Now. A think the problems are a mix of compounding issues.

  1. The naturally low damage of each shot and need to reload so often with no control over what ammo you reload into, combined with recoil, drastically eat into DPS output.

  2. Becuase of Now’s mechanics, it is a struggle for me to reload. I would wait to try and bait out monster attacks before reloading, costing precious time (further an issue thanks to point 1) or get hit because a monster attacked right after starting to reload.

  3. Because taking advantage of weaknesses is such a big part of LBG, it’s a shame to see so few options with those elemental damage types available for crafting as a new player to Now.

Investing in LBG just to match the damage output I was getting with SnS didn’t seem worth it, especially considering all the timed events inherent to a mobile game like this.
