Monster Hunter Carnival Global will have exclusive weapons and armor. There will be ticket materials for Crafting and Upgrading. Upgrading weapons to grade 10.5 requires a lot of Upgrade Tickets (hundreds per weapon). Many players won’t consider upgrading all the weapons to 10.5 but being locked out of upgrades after the two-day event is disappointing. Please consider allowing players to use regular, non-Upgrade Ticket materials after the event for everyone who crafts the gear.
This would make or break the difference to me in getting the ticket! I don’t want to add equipment to my account that would be permanently locked. I’ve taken great care to ensure that for all event-exclusive gear to this point, I have gotten enough tickets to max the equipment out (even if I still lack other parts). The incredibly hefty price tags on the Carnival gear is really making me hesitant to buy a ticket.
The requirement for each exclusive weapon is 1,100 tickets. That requires a lot of play time to collect it. Not everyone has the time to complete it in two days.

There is no way to upgrade the Carnival equipments outside the event.
I don’t have any suggestions based on the current situation.
This is equipment that can be boosted during the event period to allow even beginners to take on strong enemies, so I think it’s inevitable that only those who have the time will be able to achieve the final upgrade.
I agree with the proposal. I bought the event ticket, knowing that I wouldn’t have much time to use it, but I still felt that I got my money’s worth. The expanded range, the unlimited HATs, the Silver Rathalos Helm and Dual Blades, all good.
What was disappointing was that for double the price of the Nightshade Paolumu ticket I could no longer invite my hunting buddies to the Silver/Gold/Nergi hunts. Not at the time and not afterwards with paintballed monsters. That was a poor decision. Either double the price and keep the same functionality or keep the price the same but reduce the functionality, but not both. It just leaves a sour taste.
However, I only discovered the carnival weapons late on Sunday evening. I had enough tickets to get the Dual Blades, Gunlance, LBG and HBG to 8-2, but only enough to get the others to Grade 6.
So I would also really like the opportunity to be able to get more tickets and upgrade those other weapons.
I agree with the suggestion. It’s physically impossible to get 16,000 tickets for all possible upgrades over the weekend. Rushing to acquire more tickets also made the event less enjoyable.
I believe the primary selling points for this event is the exclusive equipments. Not being able to upgrade after the event is extremely disappointing. This restriction was not clearly communicated in any of the announcements leading up to the event. We shouldn’t be paying $15 for this kind of experience.
I hope the team behind Monster Hunter Now can allow us to continue to upgrade them and reconsider how boosted equipments are implemented for future events.
If the concern is that they’re too powerful, please consider giving them lower base stats and add stat or skill boosts only during event time. If the concern is that they’re too easy or cheap to craft (they clearly aren’t after grade 8), please mimic the usual event ticket requirements and only allow tickets to be used up to a certain grade.
I just saw the plans for modifying the upgrade requirements in the new announcement. Seems like there were plans to update since the Shibuya event. Nonetheless, I’m very grateful for the ability to continue to update these equipments. Thank you for listening to our feedback!
I would like to see carnival equipment come back in the future even if it’s paid event again, I believe not everyone was free on the weekends of Global Carnival so not everyone can participate. The Carnival mail with lock-on and skirt with special boost 2 are quite strong. This is a chance for players who have not participate the event. Thank you
