Please buff Hammers. Lets us have red gauge like long swords and a bit longer attack distance.
While most other weapons are able to beat 10-star monsters in less than 70s, hammer players struggle because 1/ we are as slow as great sword players, but we don’t deal as much damage, 2/ we don’t have free SPs and red gauge like long sword players even though we dodge attacks and play with our health bar intact, and 3/ the direction of swings of our SP and our short attack distance means we can’t 100% hit monsters that are tall while most players of other weapons have SPs effective in targeting monsters.

Weapons of MHNow are striving to be as close to mainline games as possible. While I do understand the frustration, concider the following:
you are in fact faster than GS, probably the fastest heavy weapon in the game. And you can chase monsters with your charge attack
helm breaker is not a free sp, it’s a different move altogether, hammers never had any bar, you whack the monster with a stick, it’s simple by principle
short distance is the main drawback of this weapon, since otherwise it’s monstrously powerful. You have fast, hard hitting attacks with built in stun damage which will increase your attack window exponentially
The only feasible buff I can see on the hammer at this point is to make big bang combo easier to perform or to add iframes during certain animations. Currently you can start it after golf swing or uppercut. Otherwise, the hammer is in a good place and don’t need any buffs whatsoever
Improve the damage for a full charge hammer. The risk reward is not worth it.
Also maybe something to close the Gap for damage. Give Hammer a damage boost on enemies while they are in a KO status since that is the primary function of hammer players.
現状/Current Status
Recently dual blades got a damage reassessment and it was very well received. I was wondering if the same could be done for Hammer, the second heavy hitter next to a greatsword. For an object so heavy, the damage it outputs is always nearing the end of the timer. I was hoping this weapon could be looked at again and have changes made.
