Recently has been happening more frequent among my friends.
Host already started and others having the delay start are unable to prepare for the monster’s attack and ended up need to pot at the start. This is serious issue.
It’s not about line or phone as it happens to a few people within the same session and everyone is using different lines/phones.

Restart your device
Reinstall the app
Close apps running in the background
Set the app’s graphics quality to ‘Low’ from settings
Download all assets from settings
(If the device is hot) Take a break from playing to cool down the device
I just encountered this, and it was my first hunt after starting the game after not playing for a while (phone is cool in airconditioned environment).
There was a slight delay before I can move at the start of the hunt (before the UI appears), and when I can move, the Tobi-Kadachi was already going to pounce forward. I narrowly avoided it in time.
All assets were downloaded. v87.0.
My friend was just a few metres away from me and we’re all on the same network, but the person who hosted the group hunt usually doesn’t have this issue, only the other group hunt members would have this issue.
These delays also happen when all three players in my hunting group are indoors, in the same room, and connected to the same 5GHz gigabit WiFi. It’s not the cellular connections of the phones. Well, it might be, but not only.
