Ever since the Season 5 update, the app runs out of memory VERY fast in the background. I lock my phone to put in my pocket, and 2-3 minutes later when I unlock it and bring the app back to the foreground, the app is restarted. This was never an issue before this update, I always have the app running and at MOST it would reset once a day while in the background.
There were no changes to the Background Refresh of my device, or any other external factors that could influence this, and it’s extremely frustrating when I go out for long walks that I have to go through the loading screen 4/5 times after minimizing and returning to the app.

Would you be able to try the steps listed in our troubleshooting guide as a first-aid measure?

I did everything on the list, including completely reinstalling the game. I launched the game, minimized it for 3 minutes, then when I returned it to the foreground it restarted.
I’m always either on Wifi or 5G connection, but I don’t see what this has to do with the app running out of memory and restarting itself.
EDIT: I’ve now had restarts about half the time I brought the app from the background in the past 4 hours. No change compared to before.

Are there any applications running at the same time?
If you have noticed any changes in your device other than updates, or anything else you have noticed, please let us know.
I’ve closed every other application. Before the Season 5 update it didn’t matter how many other applications were opened at the same time, the app restarted when being brought from the background MAYBE once a day. But now it’s almost every time.
EDIT: The only significant changes were the iOS system updates
It’s ALWAYS been an issue from me, and I have been playing since pre-release. Crashing in the background, crashing in the foreground, crashing when starting a hunt, crashing when completing a hunt, etc etc.
Three of us hunt together and for all three of us the game crashes between half a dozen and a dozen times per day. Normally when you get the perfect HAT participants, the R6 part has already been cut, but the countdown timer has counted down to zero. And then the game crashes, and you have to wait another three hours for another chance, because there is no way of rejoining the HAT from which the app crashed you out
