Monster grade is not calculated properly

提案/Suggestion

I have unlocked 9* monsters for a while now, my friend on the other hand has recently unlocked 8* since then I have noticed that most monsters that spawn for me as 5* these same monsters spawn for my friend as 6*, I thought the point of unlocking higher grade monsters was to spawn said higher grade monsters and not get lower grades anymore so what gives? There must be some kind of error in calculation which makes it that a 9* player gets more lesser grade monsters than a lower * player.

Even with ★9 unlocked, ★5 monsters will still spawn by design.
From the perspective of equipment upgrades, since RARE4 materials are actually required in larger quantities than RARE5, I don’t think this is such a bad system after all.

Were you talking about subspecies monsters?

Subspecies monsters’ strengths are following a different distribution from the non-subspecies monsters. Higher unlocked difficulty doesn’t guarantee higher strength subspecies monsters all the time. For example, a 6-star subspecies monster to me as a 10-star player is often a 9-star to a 9-star player. It’s as if half of the same-level subspecies spawns are pushed into the “next” level but it went one loop around and ended up at 5- or 6-star.

Sorry for the late response but yeah it usually happens to subspecies or atleast that’s what I would usually take note off.

No worries! Ah, yes, then it’s most likely the case as I mentioned. I think it’s their way of encouraging group play with players of different progression (so that the 10-star players don’t just hang out with 10-star players :joy:).

But if it’s truly an error, it’s been around for so long and never got fixed.

You were correct it’s only subspecies.
