現状/Current Status
Currently, when the Reflection skill is equipped and triggered when guarding against a monster’s attack, the differences between a Well-timed Guard and a normal Guard are practically imperceptible.
Take the first video for example. It is a clip of two different guards cropped and joined together in the same clip. Without any visuals and just by listening to the sound of the guard, can you tell which is which?
Next, here are two videos of guarding against a Kulu-Ya-Ku’s attack. Without looking at the lance and focusing only on the monster’s body language and responding to the monster’s attacks, can you tell easily, away from the focal centre of your vision, which guard is which?
If you’re focusing on the monster’s body language in the heat of the hunt, the finer details unrelated to the monster’s behaviour will be lost to the viewer.
(I could make the second video where I’m just a hair away from WTG but that’s besides the point. The point is that all that bright visual effects from Reflection makes it not possible to perceive the subtle blue/yellow sparks from a WTG/normal guard.)
Suggestion
Make the visual and sound effects of Well-timed Guard and normal Guard more distinctive from each other in the presence of the Reflection skill, so that players can continue to learn the WTG timing even when they have the Reflection skill equipped.
