A couple of days ago, I had one of my daily tasks - slay XYZ monster - still open. It was 11pm (23:00) and I was searching everywhere but could not find the monster. Eventually I found one, started the hunt at 23:59 and slew it, but by the time that the hunt had completed, the clock had tripped over to 00:00. I had completed the task, but was not awarded the reward: the 2000 Zenny and more importantly the armour/weapon refining part.

Yes, this may just get flagged as “intended” and dismissed, but it still cost me the same effort at 23:59 as it would have done at 13:59 or whenever. A daily task undertaken during the calendar day in which it was assigned, and then successfully completed, should still be rewarded, regardless of whether or not the clock had tripped over to the next day.

Tough luck. One solution is to always track the daily quest monster as the first monster for your palico tracking
