Steps

  1. Enter any group hunt.
  2. Wait for the wait timer at the lobby to reach nearly zero.
  3. Before it reaches zero, quickly bring up the quick-switch Loadout menu or the Equipment screen, then change to another Loadout Set before the timer hits zero.
  4. The game will forcibly move you back to the lobby when the timer reaches zero.
  5. Observe that when the hunt starts, no UI is present. You can still move and attack almost normally, but you cannot perform follow-up actions following an attack (e.g. cannot use powershot after a charged shot when using Bow).
  6. At the end of the hunt, the game pauses at the final animation and does not show the Completed ending art and does not transition to the Hunt Rewards. It is currently unclear if the rewards were awarded.

Expected

  1. When the hunt starts while the player is changing loadout set, the game must transition to the hunt sequence correctly.

  • The only way to recover from Step 6 is to restart the game.
  • There is no workaround when this issue occurs.

Video

The hunt portion of the video was sped up so as to reduce file size. I’m playing without music.

Thank you for your report and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by this.

We’ve tested on our end but we were unable to reproduce the issue. If the issue still occurs, would you mind sending us a video again including steps 1~4 that you provided?

Hi @NianticModKKI, I will try, but it doesn’t always occur when I repeat the same steps. I am not sure what is the deciding factor that causes it, hence the rare occurrence.

But the steps are exactly what I typed in the original post. Maybe it’s down to the exact timing. Maybe there was a slight disconnection with the game server, I do not know exactly.

If the developers can look at hardening the part of the game that could lead to the above situation, they can perhaps start looking in that direction first while I find a way to reproduce this problem reliably.

While it’s rare to encounter this error, I am not the first or few who have encountered it before. I understand that there are some players in my side of the MHNow community who have encountered this issue from time to time.

Hopefully I can record the issue in the near future.

I see that the issue is difficult to reproduce. I went ahead and forwarded the information you provided to the development team for investigation.

If the issue occurs again, it would be great if you could provide us a video of how it can be reproduced as it may help us investigate further.

After group hunt lobby time is out, and you are still changing equipment the interface will go missing when the hunt start. After the hunt is successful, you won’t transit to complete phase!

パーティでの参加した状態で、装備変更画面を開いたまま、時間経過して、狩猟開始すると、UI表示がなくなり、モンスター討伐しても、結果画面に遷移しない。
