The status resistance of Riftborne Diablos seems unusually high compared to other Riftborne monsters. I understand that they are supposed to have higher resistances than normal but Diablos specifically has far higher resistances than one would expect compared to previous Riftbornes.

I noticed that too, but I don’t think is a bug. Not sure about the first batches of Riftborne, but starting from Khezu, we’re seeing new attacks, on top of different attack patterns.
Riftborne Diablos also has a different attack pattern, but if it gains status ailment resistance, that would be fun!
If this is the direction for Riftbornes from Khezu onwards, this will make the Riftbornes not simply just a monster with different stat numbers but also with functional differences, thus not making it a boring addition anymore. I’d welcome this path forward.

Thank you for reporting.
The Riftborne is a monster with special powers, and this is its normal behavior.
If you notice anything else, feel free to reaching us anytime.
Drastic increases to status resistance like what has been done with Riftborne Diablos only serve to make status weapons worse. If all future Riftborne monsters follow suit status ailments will no longer be viable against an ever increasing portion of game content.
Please tell the development team to reconsider this design plan.
