Today I competed in a HAT where all five monsters were Deviljho, from 6* to 9*.
The first four monsters, no problem.
For the fifth, the 9*, the hunt started, and then about 15-20 seconds into the hunt, my phone’s screen stopped responding to input. I have 9-4 Zinogre Dual Blades and 8-5 Deviljho Gunlance, so consider myself to be a reasonable contributor to any hunt in which I participate. However, in this instance, I was no longer able to do so.
For what must have been nearly a minute, but felt like much longer, I watched my teammates furiously hacking away at the 9* Deviljho, but was unable to assist them. I did everything that I could to continue to participate in the hunt, but to no avail.
Seconds before I took the attached screenshot, one of the other players left the hunt, but until then we had been four. Three of them, all undoubtedly cursing me for my lack of participation.
Unfortunately, I did not even get the “reattempt hunt” prompt at the end of the hunt, so that the only way back into the game was to kill it and restart, and as the timer had by then reached zero, I was no longer able to rejoin the HAT, but had to wait until another three hours had passed before I could join the next one.
