S22u lags/gets hot when the mhNow Cache hits 8mb +

提案/Suggestion

Make some improvements soo we aren’t overheating our phones which shortens the life of our internal phone battery. This may be mitigated with an external fan cooler. Which these items aren’t typically used unless you’re playing games that push 120 frames per second.

現状/Current Status

Once cache is cleared around 8mb the phone starts to cool down a bit by 3-5° F. This means every 7 hunts I have to close app and clear cache to prolong the life of my phone.

Hi, @Zilchness002.

We’re sorry to know that you’re experiencing lag and temperature issues when playing Monster Hunter Now.

To investigate this matter, please get back to us with the following information.

・Device & Model:
・Which operation/s caused the app to lag (such as when activating an SP skill):
・If you noticed that the lag and temperature issues happen at a certain battery percentage:

We will be working on this promptly once we hear back from you.

Thank you!

I have data. I would like to do multiple data runs to inform for consistent results on data.
Let me report now all data i can. After i answer your investigation questions.

  1. Samsung 22 Ultra
  2. I have experienced the lag/heat on day’s where i didnt care to use my special ( i like breaking ALL THE PARTS and using the special can take away from breaking as much as i can)
  3. i need to collect more data on more runs to be as accurate as i can for this request. As this is my first time righting down multiple specific information. Around 30 mins today i noticed lag spikes in combat more notably in dimensional play. Also another note. I hunt with wife and it happens during those hunts as well. I feel like i really need to pull notes for each run i do from here on out to collectively provide proper data. This issue has been an issue since laye September of last year.

Now as for the data i compiled

9:59am-11:14 am
Started with Data at 7.5mb cache ended with 10.95 in cache. ( lag progressively gets worse to where when in past I see cache around 16mb-19mb the lag is very choppy say every 5-7seconds In combat lag spikes happen)
Run Started at 43% battery. Ended with 8%
Dimensional=15 +1 failed ( 10:12 am 3rd Dimensional heat increased)
Solo=3
Local=1
Hat=1
Intercept=0
Invader=1
Urgent=1
Special used=14
Ambient Air temp: starting run at 79°F ended at 83°
Phone temp at end of run 106.3° F
Phone was cool to the touch when run started

Thank you for your time. I greatly appreciate the quick response. I will try to provide said data and more if requested for future analysis.

Also. It never matters if i have 60fps on or off and i keep vid quality down on low. Battery saver is on in game as well as on phone. I have phone game booster disabled (wont let me uninstall)

1:11pm-1:19pm
Started with Data at 10.95 cache ended with 11.14mb in cache. ( no lag. Phone was cold to touch and got warm at midway through second hunt which was a local party hunt)
Run Started at 73% battery. Ended with 67%
Dimensional=1
Solo=0
Local team=3
Hat=0
Intercept=0
Invader=0
Urgent=0
Special used=1
Ambient Air temp: 92°F
Phone temp at end of run 101.1° F
Phone was cool to the touch when run started.

I will clear app cache once the lag starts getting very choppy (typically In 16mb-19mb in cache)

Also. Last time i did few hour run few days ago i noticed every time the cache got cleared prematurely (around 7mb to 9mb) the phone would throttle back on the heat. Which i could physically feel within 5 minutes after clearing cache.

4:18pm-4:38pm
Started with Data at 11.14mb cache ended with 11.22mb in cache. ( no lag. Phone was cold to touch and got warm at midway through second hunt which was a local party hunt.)
Stationary Run Started at 43% battery. Ended with %34
Dimensional=
Solo=0
Party hunt=6
Local team=
Hat=0
Intercept=0
Invader=0
Urgent=0
Special used=4
Ambient Air temp: 92°F for first two matches. Moved inside the house where Ambient temp was 78°F for remainder of matches.
Phone temp at end of run 102.7 ° F
Phone was cool to the touch at start
