I have been trying to break the head of 8-Star Basarios using LS and LBG, but the damage dealt on the head is very low. Can anyone advise how to break the head. I read the rarity-6 item dropped from the head, so I thought of, since I am hunting it, why not try the rarity-6 item as well.

Basarios has a tough outer shell normally, making it difficult to deal damage. The best time to attack is when it’s breathing fire and its head is overheated, as it becomes easier to inflict damage.

What about the action where it sit down (I think) and explode and the action when he walk three steps forward with fire exploding from below, does it make its head vulnerable as well?

No. At this point the belly and back are vulnerable and can be broken easier. Rule of thumb is - if it glows red, it’s easier to break

I have done a matchip with Basarios.
This is the flow, I hit him on the head at start of match, very little damage. After some time, it uses the sit down and explode move, still little damage to the head (not sure about the stomach, as I am aiming at its head only). Around mid game, it roared and breath fireball at me, after that I am able to deal high damage to the head. Then it went underground and started swimming, did not manage to hit it when it is swimming. But when he surfaced, I hit him on the head and still doing good damage. After that he breath fireball at me and I fainted. LOL. End of experiment.
I do notice its head become red, but not sure how long it lasts.
It’s about 15 seconds.
Here’s what you should know about basarios:
Even when not heated, it’s belly can be hurt without bouncing, Moreover it can be targeted with lock on
Head and belly counts as a weak point when heated
After breaking a party subsequent hits won’t bounce
