Since there are 14 weapons for the newly added monster, Brachy,
the required number of Weapon Refining Parts is 350.
However, I think people will think things like, “Style changes will probably come later anyway,” or
“I only need one weapon to use for quests and Base Defense.”
So then, the leftover Brachy materials go toward upgrading armor,
but since there are 5 armor pieces, you’ll need 125 Armor Refining Parts (if upgrading to 10-1).
“I have plenty of materials, but no Armor Refining Parts!”
And that’s how all the hate, including what’s pent up from weapons, ends up directed at Armor Refining Parts.
(Though there’s also the fact that weapons don’t have much use outside of Base Defense.)
Except for some event weapons, non-unique Rarity 6 weapons have permanently reduced requirements, and
even unique Rarity 6 weapons get reduced during material reduction events, so
unless you want to craft every weapon type for newly added weapons without waiting for reductions, weapons consume overwhelmingly fewer materials.

That’s the clever part.
Instead of bottlenecking players with the number of Weapon Refining Parts,
they keep them waiting based on the expectation that style changes + reduced material costs will come someday.
Considering the surplus materials converted into Zenny while waiting,
I cynically suspect there might be a profit equivalent to 350 Weapon Refining Parts.
I hope they make similar improvements to armor as well.

Even though Sword & Shield got buffed, I don’t really see it in random hunts, and seeing people say they want buffs for Long Sword and Gunlance too…
It makes me feel like they might as well give crazy buffs to everything except Bowguns (since Dual Blades are everywhere and that’d be tricky, maybe just buff their sustain or something).
I noticed that 探索の証 stopped appearing around 8:00 AM, but they started showing up again right at 9:00 AM.
Turns out I’d exceeded the daily limit; I hadn’t been able to get many on the train before, so I’d completely forgotten about it.
And now I know that these reset at 9:00 AM.
I kept thinking, “That’s weird,” and restarted over and over—so embarrassing!
There are times I forget it caps at 300, and only realize after hunting for a while.
Feeling bummed out like, “Welp, the path I’ve been walking was completely pointle~ss,” I hunt on my way home & along the way I wandered into a neighboring base and ended up putting them there… ← I drop 50 pts everywhere as an “I was here!” (at least enough so as not to bother the hunters dedicated to that base) *though maybe it’s different in big cities?
When I couldn’t sever Rathalos’s tail with a finishing Dual Blades SP
I felt like something unseen inside me screamed
That I’m definitely going to slice it off
For example, raising affinity and boosting elemental damage. That might be a common approach
But that didn’t work, so I stacked Partbreaker
Believing Partbreaker wouldn’t let me down, I also added Tail Partbreaker

I reinstalled the game thinking it might fix the bug, but the required materials count for my favorite equipment got reset back to “Next Level”. There was a real chance I could’ve discarded materials I actually needed, so I panicked and reconfigured it.
I was prepared for my loadout links to get undone, but I had no idea about this.
Among all the tough and formidable foes in the Season 11 story Urgent Quests, the Khezu that shows up midway through Chapter 7 is practically a breath of fresh air.
Its HP is on the lower side, counting from the bottom, & it’s definitely less stressful (Khezu)
The area around my house is Desert and I’m beyond bummed.
Viper Tobi-Kadachi doesn’t spawn, and I don’t need any more Magnamalo…

A hunting buddy who helped me test last night how Friend Links work with time zones asked, “There are people doing Interceptions already—is it because of the time difference?” and when I opened up Interceptions, there were two people there.
It looks like I became friends with both of them when I went to Australia, so if they live in New Zealand, have Interceptions already started over there?
Once again, I’m really impressed and a bit touched by Friend Links and how people keep getting connected through them.
Update: My mistake since I’m in the Philippines. It’s Sydney, right.
