ただの雑談所part2 /Chit-chat part2

The 30 min didn’t really matter much for hunting while walking, but it felt like 30 min could be pretty tight for batch hunting. ← Plus you can’t hunt them all with an expanded circle

And as for driftsmelting, I didn’t get anything I wanted at all…

If we could add “Lock On” to accessories, that would be the best.

Here’s hoping it expands our options.

I thought accessories boosted stats (like attack power) rather than skills…
The secondary effects (the same kind of thing as that bonus from Driftsmelting?) seem to be random too.

We won’t really know until it’s out, but I’m sure they’ll keep adding various things down the line for accessories.

Also, it’d be nice if they did something with Palicoes too (like, if you feed them, they gather twice as much for a day, or take out small monsters for you, etc.).

Palicoes don’t even need to be useful, so
I’d be happy if they added a dress-up feature or had them cheer from the sidelines when playing solo

Please give us something like the Felyne Canteen.

Judging by its size, the meat when you’re cooking it looks like it’s around 10 kg, so even if you’re sharing it with your Palico…

I suddenly found myself wondering, “…You eat that much?” But I assume that in Now’s setting you’re traveling in a group with several people, so maybe that’s why you roast that much? That’s kind of how it feels.

Even though plenty of 貴竜石 drop…

If you start going down that road, a piece of meat that size cooking to well-done in just over 10 seconds doesn’t make any sense either, so…
If you think about it too much, you lose.

Actually, despite how it looks, it might be a super high-performance oven (lol)

Fair point, no amount of heat is gonna cook that chunk of meat in just four rotations…

Plus, it’s not even seasoned—pure primitive strong style.

Couldn’t they hold something like an Armor Refining Parts Grand Trade Fair?

Is it selfish of me to wish they’d lower the number of Armor Refining Parts needed to level up a bit…?

For weapons, Refining Parts end up piling up
≒ Players voluntarily slow down their upgrading and crafting pace
(e.g., not crafting weapons without style changes, waiting for material requirement easing, etc.)
In that sense, whether or not you can upgrade styles—rather than the amount of Refining Parts—has become the bottleneck.

I’d like armor to be like that too, but
the downside is that the value of Refining Parts drops.
A big part of buying things like the Extra Hunter Pass is for the Refining Parts, so
I think they’d need to provide attractive rewards to replace them.

At the very least, having rewards that make you think, “I want to log in every day and do daily quests!” is indispensable.

Having unupgraded armor = having a hurdle to overcome.
However, I think it’s only natural to feel dissatisfied that even if you spend as much as you can, you still don’t have enough Refining Parts.

I think there’s a disconnect in perception between the invisible stopper that is the absolute quantity of Refining Parts set by the developers and the visible hurdle of unupgraded armor.

There doesn’t seem to be dissatisfaction with weapons even though Refining Parts are in even shorter supply than for armor, so I wish armor felt like that too.

Well, as mentioned earlier, I think they do need to do something about the devaluation of Refining Parts, though.

I accidentally sold all of my roughly 3,000 Monster Bone S aaaaahhhhh!!!
Contacting support for now to see if compensation is possible………

Impressive that you were able to hold onto it (lol)
Worst-case scenario, you’ll just have to hop on a train and go on a journey.
Yesterday, I went on a trip in search of Carpenterbugs, and riding that momentum, I somehow got Doctor Yellow too.

It might be a sign that good luck is coming soon.

You’re short on Weapon Refining Parts!?
I have around 330 G10-5 weapons (over 350 if you include G10-1 and up), but I have over 400 Weapon Refining Parts left over—though that might partly be because I bought all the ones sold up until this January.

Sorry, I phrased that poorly.

There are more weapons than armor pieces, so ordinarily Weapon Refining Parts should be the ones in shorter supply.
However, you don’t hear complaints about a lack of Weapon Refining Parts.
It only feels like we have an excess because players don’t forge weapons that don’t have style changes implemented (≒ weapons without relaxed material requirements).
I’d like to see some kind of improvement along those lines for armor as well, so players don’t find it stressful.

That’s what I meant.
As for weapons, people do say things like, “Are style changes not added yet?”, but if it hasn’t been implemented, from the players’ perspective it’s an invisible hurdle, so I don’t think it causes that much stress.
