Dinobard is already huge, moves around a lot, and has a decently long reach, so if it goes into Critical State, the hunt is going to get pretty dangerous.
It might be better if it at least doesn’t burrow underground like it did last time.
I frequently use Tail Bite, Sharpen, and Grrun, or I use Biton.
I’ll probably play a bit.
Using the Insect Glaive makes it so much easier to hunt Mitsutachi, Giggi, and Dino — all sorts of monsters!
Honestly, I think it’d be fine if Tamachan and the others just had a cloud of irritation hovering over their heads all the time…
The legs can handle nearby starts just fine (Dual Blades), but when it’s a bit on the far side, even Kororin can’t manage it, right?
According to the Tamamitsune cull operation example, the number of participants each day is huge, but is this the power of a big city?..
Where I am, it’s 6 people on Friday and 5 on weekends. lol
It’d be easier to progress solo activities, but with paralysis and sleep status effects…
If I have to wait for members, I’m sure I’d get more irritated. Do you have dozens or hundreds of participants in your area without a care in the world?
Even so, friend requests keep increasing every day, so maybe they’re all from far away rather than nearby.
My base is 2・3・2.
But I think I’ll probably be the only one there today.
It’s just the usual 1-1-1 situation. That’s how things are in the countryside.
I feel like it’s definitely become more common, but do the "they wouldn’t rig the odds
I’m probably misunderstanding.
When people say it’s become easier to get, the conversation that keeps going on and on is actually that the odds have been tampered with to make it harder to get.
The issue isn’t that the odds have been made easier for everyone, but that some people are self-reporting that their own odds have become worse.
If it really were easier to get, people could just say “good for you” and move on, but the requests for it to appear more are endless.
Last week, it was clearly more likely to appear than in previous periods.
This week, it’s either as usual or harder to find.
It might just be a low streak, though.
This is the tricky part.
I’m showing up.
Others are showing up too.
It must definitely be ◯◯.
But on the other hand, even after hunting 50 monsters that aren’t showing up, they still don’t appear.
Even doing big streaks, they still don’t show up.
It’s ◯◯!
When you see opinions like that, all you can really say is, “Well, it’s just luck.”
Do you really think they wouldn’t mess with the drop rates?
Even for an individual, if you hunt a decent number of times, you’ll get drops outside the normal range of bad or good luck. The only explanation I can think of is that they adjust the rates to match events.
There have been repeated requests to increase the drop rate at least during events, and even requests to make it a 2x drop rate. I personally don’t want it to be that obvious because it can be a bit of a letdown, but if it makes everyone happy, I guess it’s inevitable.
When it comes to Big Chain Hunts, I’ve felt like Mutagenic materials have been dropping fairly often both last week and this week.
In free hunts and Rampages I’ve felt pretty unlucky, but a Hunting Buddy I was playing with said they were getting lots of drops in Rampages, so maybe I’m just the unlucky one ![]()
I hunted 〇〇〇 monsters before the Siege, but I couldn’t craft my weapon in time! I don’t think that’s happening, so the adjustments are probably set up so that the rates appear to converge in the end.
By the way, I’ve hunted 3,475 Tamamitsune and ended up with:
Weapon
10-2: 9 pieces
10-5: 4 pieces
10-5+ with full Style upgrades: 1 piece
Armor
6-5: 1 piece
8-5: 1 piece
10-5: 3 pieces
Water-element weapons have always been underdogged, so let’s really push them here and hopefully everyone can become a Water-element master.
Personally, I think they adjust the spawn rates — making certain monsters or events harder or easier to encounter — but from MOMO’s perspective, is it still just random variance, with highs and lows? ![]()
Usually, based on my experience, even event-target monsters are pretty rare in the wild, so with Big Streaks I’d expect a decent number to show up. But with Mizune, I’ve felt like the drop rate is really low, whether in the wild or with Big Streaks ![]()
So, during yesterday’s mass outbreak, I hunted just under 100 monsters, but only got about 30 Wrath Scales and 4 or 5 Mutations, so it was clearly buffed to be easier to find ![]()
