When I am not able to get out of the house for the day, my palico does not use all of it’s paintballs. It’s especially annoying because I paid for the prime hunter pass. Enough monsters appear because sometimes I decide to not hunt a monster and I close the app to work. Then I look after a few hours or more, and palico has not paintballed anything.

直線移動じゃないとオトモがペイントしなくなった気がしますね。距離測定の方法を変えた弊害じゃないでしょうか。
以前は1時間移動したら5つ使い切っていましたが、今は1.5時間ぐらい移動しても使い切っていない場合があります。
Yes, this is intended. That’s why it’s “Adventure Sync”, not “Time Sync”.
Palico paintballs are used only when you are “moving around”, based on the location information your phone receives and interpreted by the game.
If you’re basically inside the house for the whole day and your phone doesn’t “drift”, don’t expect it to mark much monsters.

- “Adventure Sync” is enabled.

As I’ve posted in other posts, I live subarban and there’s not much for me to do walking around my neighbourhood, but I go for walks anyway to collect from small gathering nodes. To get to HATs I have to go driving, which defeats the purpose of the Adventure Sync to go walking. I really like this game but it’s super frustrating if you don’t live in highly populated areas. That’s what made me stop playing Ingress as I had to drive everywhere to be able to do anything.
Working from home, it’d be nice to open up MHNow after a few hours and be able to hunt a paintballed monster that I would not have otherwise seen.
