Reduced forging costs are good for new players, but veterans who invested time, effort, and money feel devalued. Returning players get special quests while loyal daily players get nothing. A loyalty or veteran reward system would balance this out.

It’s great that new players can now catch up more easily with the reduced forging costs. However, for those of us who have invested significant time, effort, and even real money over the past two years, this feels like our progress has been devalued overnight. Would you consider offering veteran players some form of recognition or compensation (such as exclusive cosmetics, titles, or bonuses) to acknowledge that investment?
At the same time, it feels unbalanced that players who return after being inactive are rewarded with dedicated quests, while those of us who log in and play every day receive nothing equivalent. A loyalty program or veteran rewards system would go a long way in showing appreciation for the players who have supported the game consistently since the beginning. Without that, it feels as though the message is that we should have just waited for discounts or stopped playing altogether rather than staying engaged and supporting the game from the start.

I completely understand your point. If veteran players could receive some recognition or rewards, it would definitely help us stay motivated to keep playing (and even spending).
In general, veteran players tend to have higher Hunter Ranks (HR), but there haven’t been any real rewards after HR 50. I think the most effective approach would be to add milestone bonuses at higher HR levels (for example HR100, 200, 300, 400).
They’ve already announced that an HR300 “cap” will be available next season. Just to clarify, this “cap” is more like a cosmetic milestone (a costume/title to display) rather than a gameplay limitation. It’s a nice idea, but I feel it’s still not enough to close the gap.
To make it more meaningful, I’d suggest giving supportive items (like zenny, paintballs, refining parts, or instant smelting items) as milestone rewards when players reach those HR marks. Furthermore, these bonuses would not only reward veterans but also motivate beginners and returning players to raise their HRs.
I agree with your take about HR milestones being a good way to reward long-term players, but the way Niantic is handling it feels very underwhelming. The HR300 “cap” they’re only now talking about was actually the limit until the beginning of this year. So in practice it feels like they’re lagging a year behind instead of introducing something meaningful for where the community actually is. With the current max at HR400, many players are already beyond 300, which makes the milestone almost irrelevant and just a cap feels like a consolation prize, veteran players are worth no more effort then a re-texture of an existing asset that half of the people won’t even wear as it doesn’t fit with the rest of their style.
A simple title or costume at HR300 is minimum effort at best. Monster Hunter as a series has always tied progression to visible armor and weapon sets, so it would make far more sense to carry that DNA into Monster Hunter Now. Even something as straightforward as a unique armor set for veterans, or the ability to customize armor colors, would feel much more rewarding. It would give players something to proudly display that reflects their time and dedication, rather than a cosmetic badge that feels late to the party.
Zenny or items that you mention would be a nice addition as well but a bit more fleeting.
