問題の詳細/Issue Details
The same old issue of the game staying in 60FPS mode after completing a large monster hunt and then experiencing loss of control when starting a small monster hunt has returned in v109.
This time, the loss of control seems to occur usually after a large monster hunt, be it a group hunt or a solo hunt. So far I have encountered it twice, with the first occurrence on 2nd Nov and the second occurrence just now (5th Nov).
その他の情報/Other Information
Similar issues have been raised and fixed before and I have not experienced it for a long time, but it has returned in v109 for my case.

Maybe because I started using Medium graphics settings again recently. Last time, I was on Medium settings when I kept encountering this issue. However, I recently started using High graphics settings for the past few versions and I have not seen this for a long time, until I started to use Medium settings again.
I just switched back to High graphics settings and see how long until I encounter the issue again on this game version.

I just encountered it again. I guess it’s not related to Medium/High graphics settings because this time I’m on High settings, compared to previous times.
I started the game at around 11am (UTC+8), then I fought a couple of monsters, switched to another app for a few minutes, then switched back to the game, hunted a field 8★ Riftborne Magnamalo alone without incident, then hunted a field 9★ Riftborne Anjanath with another player.
I observed that the other player used the Switch Axe SP, and from my perspective, the player is then stuck with the SP orange glow on his character but is no longer moving, but I believe he is still attacking the monster because the tail broke without me damaging it.
I was also hit once by Anjanath’s bite attack. I was using Magnamalo Heavy Bowgun.
After completing the hunt, I tapped on a wingdrake and then this issue occurred.

Hi @NianticModKKI,
I encountered the issue again. I think the factors are:
- You have kept the game running for some time, across spawn periods, without restarting, and having participated in small and large monster hunts of any type.
- You were hit by a large monster at least once during this period of playing.
- Someone else in the group hunt is using Switch Axe, used their SP, and their character exhibit strange animation (e.g. not moving, stuck in mid-animation, etc) from your perspective (not from their perspective, which means the Switch Axe user themselves are unaware that their animation appears strange to others in the group hunt).
- After observing the strange animation, tapping into any small monster to hunt them will very likely encounter this issue.
I tried to get my friend to start a large monster hunt on a fresh restart of the app and have them use their SP, but there were no animation issues and this loss of control issue also did not occur.
But whenever the loss of control occurred, it was usually in the situation listed above in the factors.
So far, the issue also occurred when I happen to be using the Teostra Switch Axe to hunt the small monsters. This may be one of the factors, so I am now using other weapon types to see if it would also occur.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for taking the time to provide these additional details.
We will forward this to our development team so they can continue investigating the issue. If you happen to notice anything else, please feel free to reach out again.

Hi @NianticModKKI,
I just encountered the same issue on Magnamalo Dual Blades, and a friend of mine also encountered the same problem on the Halloween Long Sword.
This rules out the “same weapon type” as the factor.
My friend also did not play with a Switch Axe user during his solo hunts, so that means it’s also not entirely related to other users using the Switch Axe.
However, one common factor between the two of us is that we both had put the app in the background at some point since the last restart of the app (either to use the phone for other tasks or to simply save the battery if we’re on a moving transport and cannot play due to high speed restriction), then we switch back to the app when it is possible to play, and then the issue will very likely occur after completing a large monster hunt and then tap into a small monster (the 60fps mode is not disengaged after the large monster hunt and the game continues running at 60fps even while on the field map and in other screens), especially if we have put the app in the background for a longer period of time (i.e. not to switch away just to reply a message but to have put the app in the background because we cannot play it for maybe 10-15 minutes or longer).
This experience is consistent with the issue of 広域マップボタンや方位磁針ボタンなど、画面の上部がタップできなくなる / Buttons at the top of the screen are sometimes unresponsive, where this issue also often occurs when returning to the app after putting it in the background for some time, except that this issue with the top part of the screen being unresponsive also occurs even at the start the game.
Hope this helps.
