That could be true when not properly coded and internal memory of integrated video chip is almost full stuttering can appear, when internal RAM memory is used as swap. How longer the fight how more demanding it is in combination with the particles,map, models,animation,…

Cleaning memory of dormant processes is a smartphone feature or app feature not a game option.

That is all what you can try, put the app in game mode when your smartphone has it.

That is how the game was coded to always check location is also used for determining if you are driving or not together with the gyroscope for safety measures beside what you already mentioned.

The main problem is that multiple smaller dev companies worked on only a small part of the game. That is never a good thing. I don’t know what Niantic Japan did, maybe only overseeing.Also the Unity engine was updated. It is indeed a coding,lack of optimization problem and there excuses doesn’t make any sense same for there FAQ. If other apps doesn’t have connectivity issues than it is related to the game.

It is a combination of problems: don’t detect and use all cores CPU and IGPU of certain SOC’s (MediaTek, Qualcomm, Exynos,Unisoc, Rockchip), also the very aggressive timeout settings for network problems when connected through mobile internet or Wi-Fi which causes the micro freezes. It connects all the time, also to determine if you are in a vehicle for safety reasons and prohibit game play.

そろそろどの程度の部分が通信なりサーバーなりに負荷をかけているのか、なぜこのような事象が起きているのか中間報告なりの声明を出さないと、フラストレーションが溜まったプレイヤーの方々での要らぬ火種になり始めています

戦闘システムはゲームの根幹に関わる部分なのにあまりにも対応が曖昧すぎませんか?

いつまでにどの程度の対応をするか早急に提示をして頂きたいと思います

Today while testing these issues connected through LAN cable. I got the popup that internet connectivity was poor and got disconnected from the hunt.
This is not wifi, not roaming, but LAN connection. This should not give any connection issues unless its server side! I have reported a quite comprehensive list of tests done and no answer. It would be nice to see if this forum is actually monitored and get a response to these messages.

If even when disable mobile data,Wi-Fi on your smartphone and connected through Ethernet the popup appears means bad coding for disconnecting from hunt based on signal quality,timeouts, server connectivity problems. They don’t really care. Very few replies from Niantic after creation of this topic. No roadmap.

Only server received an update not the client (game we installed). But always possible that too strict connection drops on server settings can cause more often stuttering, disconnection. At least I didn’t received a client update.

Today I watched the hangs very closely and they were ALWAYS right before a monster attack.
So there is absolutely no way it is the phones and graphics when it is occurring before the action even happens.

Actually suspicious, to put the player in a locked state with an attack coming.
This is not enjoyable…

I don’t think it’s malicious intent. From my very limited netcode knowledge this is most likely due to how the game handles “auto saving”. See, each attack is most likely communicated to the server and and back to client. If there’s a hickup anywhere on this pipeline, game has to pause due to how it’s programmed

It is a combination of problems. At beginning of the fight there is client,server connection. Slow fights come also due graphic engine optimization problems.

The counter doesn’t pause, which should happen as well when auto saving.

リリース時からずっと疑問に思っていた事で、ネットワーク問題のせいで狩りが強制終了するのは一体どうしてなのでしょうか?
マルチならまだわかるけどソロで強制終了される意味が本当に分かりません
百歩譲って倒しきった後に通信状況により報酬貰うのに時間かかるのはまだ分からなくもない(絶対嫌だけど)
でも狩り中に通信状況により強制終了になるというのはモンスターとの狩り中モンスターの操作してるんですか?そうじゃないでしょう?はやく何とかしてください
あとカクツキやラグに関しては最低限のエフェクトの最適化や各デバイスでしっかり検証して下さい

夕方頃のカガチ、バフバロ、ジンオウガのラグが結構キツい気がします。
仕事終わりのアクティブユーザーが増えるのもあるかと思いますが、夕焼けのステージ効果も影響あるのかなと。
尚、ジンオウガは帯電状態を解除するとラグも少しマシになるという時空をも操るモンスター。

エフェクトは重そうですよね。他の方が仰ってましたが背景も簡素化出来れば改善されると私も思います。よく分からない光の玉とか重くなるなら不要です。
