Did a bit of testing since i have 2 devices: POCO x5 and Samsung Galaxy A53. With both ive increased eRAM to maximum cap. A53 has 10 gigs, and POCO has 16 with those operations.
Galaxy A53 was chugging like crazy, to the point of being borderline unplayable, POCO slows down with bigger particle attacks, but otherwise holds a steady FPS (even if its like 25ish). Furthermore, A53 had issues with putting meshes on the polygons properly, creating an outline of yellow dots alongside rigged edges of stuff (be it weapons, monsters or hunters)
For the record, before v74 both devices ran adequately, even if neither is capable of running the game on high details, with stable 30fps and no chuggs, with the exception of zinogre and banbaro.
@NianticMHNow your game is optimised about as well as Bethesda games at this point, whatever you did with the engine, made it eat RAM like crazy. This is not device issue, this is code issue. Fix this damn thing, its annoying already that we are bleeding playerbase due to your baffling “political decisions”. Hire QA.
And before you do the usual corporate shpiel of “we are sorry, have you tried this thing that never works but we will tell you to check every single time” pack it in, im working in a corporation myself and as such, am immune to this ring around the rosie. You arent sorry enough to do the right thing and fix the code you goofed and you arent sorry enough to charge premium for stuff in the shop, while the game is clearly not made with mid range devices in mind.
MHW had similar issues when it came out and also did Iceborne on PC. It was due to inexperience with the platform from Monhun team. And while I say its just an excuse, at least its not a lie, you guys have like 4 mobile games under your belt and you cant make another one? Come on.
This issue should take priority over everything else, be it new monsters, new mechanics, new weapons or events. IT should be done yesterday.
