Hey Monster Hunter Family,
Can someone explain to me why there are hidden monsters on the map. Monsters by the road are visible, but the ones off the road aren’t. At my house, or my job I will walk to the back portion of the property and usually monsters will appear. Why are areas blocked off on the map?
What kind of monsters are you referring to? Small monsters? Large monsters?
And, what do you mean by “areas blocked off on the map”? How so? Is it showing in the game on your map that you cannot enter the area? Please describe what you are seeing, because we can’t see what you’re seeing.
A screenshot would be great, if it doesn’t expose your location which you would deem private or confidential.
私有地に不法侵入しないように道路から離れた場所は隠してあるのでは無いでしょうか。
大きなショッピングモール等も道路から離れている場所は近付かくと発見できるモンスターも居ます。
入ってはいけないのが明確な、空港の滑走路等は道路の判定なのかモンスターが見えていますね。
I think places away from roads are hidden to prevent trespassing on private property.
There are also monsters in large shopping malls and other places that are away from roads, so you can only find them if you get close.
Airport runways, where it’s clear you shouldn’t go, are considered roads, but you can see the monsters.
Yes, I am referring to areas away from the road. All monsters, but i only really care about large monsters.
As what NESTA8721 mentioned, and also mentioned by Niantic in the old forums, the spawn logic purposely places the monsters close to the road on the map for what I believe to be accessibility and likely safety reasons. Areas far from the road and in restricted areas will typically not have monsters unless there’s a spawn logic that caters for these obscure areas.
道路があればモンスターは表示されますが、こちらの画像の真ん中の採集場所の様に道路が無ければ、モンスターが自分の行動サークル内に入るまで表示されません。
山でも、大きな建物でも、広大な敷地でも道路から離れていれば全て同じです。
If there is a road, monsters will appear, but if there is no road, like the gathering location in the middle of this image, monsters will not appear until they enter your action circle.
It’s the same whether it’s a mountain, a large building, or a vast area, as long as it’s away from the road.
Yup, exactly. No roads, no spawn. That’s been in place since launch.
