Don't Remove Seasonal Monsters from Monster Tracker

提案/Suggestion

Leave all seasonal, non-event monsters in the Monster Tracker so that progress on armor and weapons is not brought to a halt.

現状/Current Status

Several of the game’s seasonal monsters have fairly unique skills (Odogaron’s quick work and Basarios’ Artillery, for example) By removing them from the pool, you prevent people who are working on those armor sets or weapons from making any real progress until they (hopefully) come back around next year.

While some of them may appear in hunt-a-thons, at higher levels you need thirty-plus of the same part to make any progress. It could take dozens of hunts to be able to do a single level.

By allowing us to hunt seasonal monsters with the tracker, you’re still achieving the desired effect of having “time-limited” monsters while not needlessly bringing work on a particular loadout to a standstill.

You don’t have to wait until next year.

I’m very glad to hear that those particular monsters are still available since they’re the main one I need for my armor set.

That said, I still think this is a worthwhile suggestion, and that it hasn’t been implemented, because certain monsters (Barioth pops to mind) are still gone for nearly a year.

Bairoth will only be available during winter (which is according to the game schedule, Jan - Mar)

Yes, I get that. That’s the entire point of this suggestion.

Making certain monsters limited to specific months completly halts progress for anyone working on those sets. While it makes sense from a story perspective, gameplay-wise it’s an artificial limitation that only hurts the play experience.

Allowing those limited monsters to be hunted through the tracker allows them to have the desired story effect while still letting people working on those sets to progress throughout the year.

And dev putting it in HaT is baiting people to spend tickets if you need… am I right? :joy:
