With the Water Strike style enabled on a hammer, if you run towards a monster holding the button down for the third flash then Water Strike does not activate. You must stand completely still for the three flashes for it to activate.
If you run in within the testing areas then Water Strike does activate after the third flash.
Please make it consistent, preferably by allowing Water Strike to activate against an actual monster, rather than just in the testing area, as it gives a false impression of the capabilities of Water Strike. I may not have chosen that style if I knew there was this limitation.
If possible, could you provide us with a video showing how Water Strike behaves during an actual hunt? That would really help us look into it more closely. Could you also let us know if the same behavior occurs against both small and large monsters, or only under specific conditions (ex. issue only occurs when using lock-on) ?
Thank you again for all your help, and sorry for the follow-up questions
I can’t tell if the problem exists with small monsters, as they die with the first hit, and the encounter closes.
I’ll endeavour to get a video with an actual monster
Hi there, I’ve tried multiple times to try and reproduce the problem I was having and I guess I’m pleased to report that I haven’t managed to - Water Strike has been performing correctly.
I recommend this report be closed - if I manage to recreate my issue I will reraise it.
@enrybkram
Thank you very much for following up and for taking the time to re-test the situation.
We’re glad to hear that Water Strike has been performing correctly. We will close this report for now but if the issue reoccurs, please don’t hesitate to reach out again.
