I found the trigger, at least for my case: SP activation.
Before activating the SP, my Silver Rathalos helm looks fine.
The issue starts when activating the SP:
And remains like this for the rest of the hunt and in future hunts until you restart the app:
Basically, the helmet “sinks down” during the SP activation animation.
Addendum: I have not tested other weapons and helmets yet.
Addendum 2: It appears that you do not need to use SP while using an LBG. You just need to have used SP before in the current game session, then enter a hunt while using an LBG, and the helmet problem would appear immediately at the start of the hunt. In the Training Ground, this issue doesn’t appear immediately at the beginning, but you can make it appear by dodging forward while using an LBG. Seems to be related to a particular kind of action—it doesn’t seem to occur for HBG, Bow, Lance, Charge Blade, Hunting Horn, Dual Blades, Hammer, and Gunlance. I didn’t test the remaining weapon types.

Hi, I found one more trigger for the bug on Silver Rathalos helmet:
穿ち斬りの落下突きでも確認。再インストールやらなんやら済み。
機種はxperia1ⅶ
This issue is fixed for this helmet vs Light Bowgun SP in v106.0-20250908-1443.
But it is still not fixed for Blast Dash on Gunlance on v106.0-20250908-1443.
I found two more triggers for Silver Rathalos helmet visual issue:
Flicking up and firing while using Stepping Shot style on a Light Bowgun:
Attempting to fire on an empty magazine while using Sliding Reload style on a Light Bowgun:

追記 肉焼き以外、狩り中も禿げるようになってました

・ルナガロヘルムは重ね着を使用しておりますでしょうか（重ね着または重ね着OFFのみで発生する場合はお知らせください）

重ね着で使用しています
ガンランス、太刀で同様に起きています
一旦重ね着解除したところ治りましたが、またすぐに不具合が発生しました
特に何もしていない状態でフィールド画面上キャラクターのテクスチャが剥げています

レウス系統の頭でできるのは知ってたけど、なんで増えた…。

ガンランスのブラストダッシュをするとシルバーソルヘルムの表示がおかしくなる。
アプリの再起動で表示は戻る。
