Sorry, since I have been on 8-Star for a few months, I need to have a good density of 7-Star so my son can play with me (he is not willing to hunt 8-Star except for the few easier one, but he wants me to have the same progression as him, so we can’t have 1 9-Star and 1 8-Star). Will unlocking 9-Star reduces the 7-Stars a lot as compared to unlocking only 8-Star?
this is old data but I think similar percentage until now
(４周目 8star unlocked,５周目 9star unlocked)

星7は増えるけど星6以下は減るって感じか
Ooooh, I never notice that there will be more 2-Star below than your current unlock ones from the previous unlock tier. I think maybe its a good time to clear season chapters, and unlock the star. (I downgraded the urgent hunt in order to not progress in unlocking).

私はプレシーズン時点で星１０まで解放してますが
当時星９解放する際に感じたメリットは
・星８の割合が少し増えること
・星５以下がほぼいなくなること
だったと記憶しています

みなさんの意見を元に私が出した結論は…
★9解放する！！！！
です！
一番悩んだポイントは、
★9のジョーが出る代わりに亜種がキツくなる ところです
ただ亜種に関しては、
・★9以上は少なくなるよう調整されているっぽい
・人が多いところでは格下の募集に参加すればよい
という対策があるためある程度リスクを軽減することができそうです。
なのでメリットの方が大きいと思い、解放を決意しました！！
それ以外での懸念点は、私は現在マイセットが格下用で埋まっているため、これを整理する必要があります。 
まぁこれは時間が解決してくれると信じています… はよ増やせや！！
週末までに★9を解放して3連休はジョーを狩りまくろうと思います！
