問題の詳細/Issue Details

The 5-second timer between hunts in a Hunt-a-thon (HAT) is paused and does not continue counting down when the user is in the equipment screen.

Steps:

  1. Start any Hunt-a-thon.
  2. Clear the first hunt and proceed to the second hunt.
  3. At the second hunt, observe that there is a 5-second timer to prevent users from accidentally starting the hunt when other hunters attempting the same HAT has not entered the lobby yet.
  4. While the 5-sec timer is still counting down, tap the equipment button to open the equipment screen.
  5. Wait for 5 seconds or as long as the time remaining on the countdown timer, then exit the equipment screen and return to the lobby.
  6. Observe that the 5-sec timer is still not at zero, despite having spent at least 5 seconds since user has entered the lobby from the previous hunt.

Expectation:

  • The 5-sec timer should continue to count down while user is checking their equipment.
  • The timer should not be paused since the purpose of the timer is to prevent user from accidentally tapping the Start button before their fellow hunters have joined the lobby. Since the user is in the equipment screen, this effectively prevents user from tapping the Start button and therefore should not punish user for using the equipment screen and having to spend more than 5 seconds waiting unnecessarily.

Note:

  • This issue started occurring ever since the 5-second cooldown timer was added a few months back.
  • This issue is also occurring when player long-tap the equipment button to bring up the loadout selector. The countdown timer is paused while the loadout selector is active, without going into the equipment screen.

There are no known workarounds that can make the countdown timer continue the countdown while user is in the equipment screen and the timer is still active when they entered the equipment screen.
