Currently, the Outbreak Medal is awarded for the first outbreak attended, and the slay count on the medal is based on the first outbreak’s slay count.
For example, I got 62 kills on the 24 Oct outbreak and then 78 kills on the 25 Oct outbreak, but the Outbreak Medal only shows the kill count from 24 Oct.

Since a player can attend up to 3 days of Outbreak, the Outbreak Medal should reflect the highest slay count if the player attended more than one Outbreak for a particular outbreak event and the highest slay count is not the first Outbreak attended.
Hi Niantic, any update on this? I see that the score on the Base Defense Medal will be updated when the total score improves, but my Magnamalo Outbreak medal is still showing 62 instead of the highest score of 78 at the point of writing this comment.
If it matters, I’m on Android. I have reports from iOS users that their Outbreak medal will get updated when they achieved a higher score in subsequent rounds of Outbreak for the same monster, but my medal never get updated even when I have attained a higher score for subsequent Outbreaks for the same monster.
(For some unknown reasons, I cannot attach my screenshot to the forums at all, so I can’t provide an up-to-date screenshot of my medal.)
Hmm… Maybe I didn’t register for the second session where I scored a higher score?
Although I think I should have.
