My experience with MHN as a new beginner (now lvl 61)

After being an Ingress player for several years, I stopped playing due to abusive language and hateful behaviour… after a few years i picked it up again and discovered MHN a few weeks back. And i really loved MHN although i could hardly understand the game mechanics, but the major quest was clear and the Beast season was quite understandable and I got myself a good gunlance and Beast sword.
And then for some reason that i never quite understood, all beast were upgrades 2 stars and I could not master 90% of them. This was the first time I almost quit playing MHN, but due to some advice on this forum, I kept on playing and since a few days i am capable of killing most monsters again except some 6* monsters or when unlucky. However, the game now becomes tiresome as slaying all monsters almost never provides something to upgrade weapons or armor and i do not see progress on these things easily.
And no, i am not one of these guys that love hanging around the internet looking for clues (Although i do frequent forums occasionally) and although I found some way to structurize my armor and weapons, progress is slow if not tediously slow. Also, the anniversary quests last mission is undoable and i am stuck at this season’s quest.
So, again i am on the brink of quitting.
Should i buy something in the shop? I do not even understand most of the stuff that is for sale…
Should i just leave the seasons tutorial and wait for the next season? Don’t know if that will even be better
Should i not be frustrated by an anniversary quest thta is not meant for beginning players? Maybe, but i like the storylines, and its OK if it is somewhat more difficult, as long as its doable
Well, why do i post this? Just to give my feedback on the game. I think it is a good game, but is is to free format for me. I am missing some guidelines on how to experiment with armor and weapons and i am frustrated by the imbalanced difficulty of slaying in the game. But maybe i a just not seeing it… Time will tell if this game is for me or not

Wishing you all the best, just my feedback after playing for a few weeks. had a lot of fun, and maybe it will come back, if i give it that chance

I see.
Sure, it might be confusing and boring.

Just walk and hunt monsters. Strengthen your weapons and armor,Improve your playing skills.
Basically, that’s all there is to the game.

But I hope you come back.
It would be nice if you had friends nearby to enjoy this Monster Hunter NOW with.
Then we can talk about it, fight together, and perhaps turn it into something more meaningful.

I’m Japanese and my English is poor. I’m sorry if I can’t explain it.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We value the input from novice hunters as much as we do from veteran hunters, and we’ve already passed your thoughts along to the team.

We understand the difficulty you’re facing with game progression, especially with tougher monsters and the anniversary quests. We’re looking at ways to improve the balance and make upgrades more accessible without causing burnout.

Also, in this “Connect with fellow hunters” category, you might receive advice from other hunters that could help you out.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and we hope you’ll continue enjoying the game.
