Lance Guard Dash, after hitting a monster with leaping thrust, cannot be executed as quickly as after a leaping thrust that did not hit the monster

Compare the timing between these two scenarios:

Scenario 1:

  1. Enter a hunt against any monster while equipping a lance.
  2. Back away from the monster as far as possible.
  3. Perform the Guard Dash by guarding and then swiping to the left or right.
  4. Tap at the end of the Guard Dash to perform a Leaping Thrust. You should not hit the monster since you are far from it.
  5. Perform a Guard Dash as quickly as permissible without waiting for your hunter to recover from the Leaping Thrust animation.
  6. Take note of the timing.

Scenario 2:

  1. Enter a hunt against any large monster while equipping a lance
  2. Without moving away from the monster, perform a Guard Dash, followed by a Leaping Thrust which hits the monster 3 times, then use the same timing from Scenario 1 Step 5 to transition from Leaping Thrust into Guard Dash.
  3. Observe that now it takes more time to perform a Guard Dash after a Leaping Thrust that hit a monster, compared to after a Leaping Thrust that did not hit the monster.

Question: Is this as intended or a bug?
