There should be an option to dismantle a weapon, and get the materials you used back, that way we won’t regret spending our hard earned resources on something that might not be useful anymore.

Agreed.
Although, I don’t think you should get all of the materials back.
Either you should get HALF of the materials back, or you should get all of the Zenny you spent making it, plus the Zenny value of the materials.
I don’t mind losing some value when I have made equipment I regret. But at least I’d like to get rid of it, and get something in return.
