Barrel Bombs are one of the most iconic items in Monster Hunter. It is a shame that with the introduction of the Somnacanth, the skill to boost Bomb damage to sleeping enemies is no longer likely to be added. Nonetheless, I would like them to be implemented as they are a fun source of damage especially in highly skilled hunts, or chaotic group hunts.

How to Obtain; either:

As supply items:
- "Large Barrels" are provided as Supply Items; 2 per day in a similar way to "Raw Meat".
- In the same vein, we will have a new minigame to craft the barrel bombs and depending on the final grade, the bombs can either be "Small", "Large" or "Mega"

From Gathering points:
- Barrels can be found in a new small node, or
- in all small nodes at small chances (%), or
- only from large nodes at small chances (%);
proceeded by the same aforementioned minigame to create it.
*each crafting process will consume 1 "Fire Herb" and 1 "Nitroshroom"

How to Use: *Mostly similar to the mainline games
- Hunters should only be able to hold a maximum of 10 bombs total
- However, they are only able to use 2 in a fight
- Placing a Bomb should take a spot similar to the Potions (replace it, if possible)
- Placing a Bomb takes about 1s each
- The max number of bombs allowed on the field should be 8 total (2 from each player)
- Bombs will detonate on either Hunter or Monster attacks
- Bomb damage is fixed

Concerns:
- Bomb damage might make lower grade monsters very easy to beat
- Bomb damage is likely useless on extremely high grade monsters
- Staggering or Self damage from the bombs are also a part of the mainline games
- Bombs are difficult to use in solo fights
- Hit box might be weird (considering how this game operates at the moment) and miss weak points
- Explosion effects might cover the screen too much and blind players
現状/Current Status
We have the canonical materials to create “Gunpowder” with the “Nitroshroom” and “Fire Herb”. We are only lacking the actual barrels to blow up.
