With the introduction for bases and another outbreaks we need more wayspots expecially in rural areas. In my area is no base and my friend who lives in a small town also has no bases. Pokemon Go had with the introduction for dynaraids already existing areas like local markets or gas stations as waystops for dyna raids. Maybe you can team up with the Pokemon Go Team and get some tips to implement this type of waystops as bases because that would fit quite nicely.
I hope that with the introduction of Exploration Bases, it will lead into the creation/review of Wayspots via MHNow.
Some places are new and sorely lack wayspots.
Some wayspots are obsolete and don’t exist anymore, or are located in a once-accessible area that is now closed off (e.g. due to land redevelopment and the area became a private property or has no public access).
Precisely, I live in a place surrounded by farms and the roads are often changing. There are road full of monsters you can’t access to because in reality they don’t exist anymore. I think they use google map or something which is why they can’t update the roads for their game themselves?
About the wayspots it would be great to be able to submit and edit new ones because there are new arts painted on walls etc. but also fake spots from Pokémon Go showing monuments which don’t exist that people probably created near their inaccessible home for personal purpose lol
I believe they use Open Street Map. It matches their map quite precisely, with some adjustments since not all details are needed.
Some wayspots were created based on temporary festival decorations, like statues of the Chinese Fortune God deity. Those are egregious lol
But those were created back then when the wayspot creation rules were very lax, unlike now.
I’m somewhat partial to some of the officially-sanctioned murals that are now gone because of redecoration of high-rise buildings where the murals once resided. The photos in the wayspots are the only way for me to see those murals now. But the inaccessible ones are really pointless, especially if they also happen to be a HAT/EDI node.
Yeah paintings are fine. I meant like a spot with the Eiffel Tower in the middle of a sunflower field kind of fake spot.
