Currently, if there are 3 ready people in a preparation screen and 4th person decides to jump out, the hunt starts immediately with 3 ready players.
This is a big problem especially in a current HAT format. I would rather let matchmaking get a replacement (extra season pass point, easier hunt overall) than forcing us to play with disadvantage.
Like I pressed ready because there were 4 people in a group. If one leaves that drastically changes the situation and I’m no longer ready for a new circumstances but I have no way to unready myself other than quit the match or kill the mosnter with an incomplete party.
Additionally, it would be nice to have also manual unready button just in case. But unreadying automatically if someone quits should be a bare minimum.
I second this too. It gives a certain level of anxiety when I want to tap the Ready button. The heightened emotion should come from the anticipation of the hunt, not from being ready but not certain if the situation would remain the same until the hunt starts.
Because of this, I usually am the last person to be ready so that I can still have a chance to adjust my equipment based on what other hunters are using and have readied themselves with. But if all 4 hunters are doing the same waiting game, then we’ll end up take a longer time to start, which… a lack of emote/quick messages isn’t helping too.
If we cannot signal to each other what our intentions are and what we want to do, then we can only rely on observing each other’s chosen weapon and equipment (the latter is quite impossible now with layered equipment), and signalling with the Ready button is a different kind of commitment compared to being Ready in the main MH titles.
