This season, almost all the information is out, so it’s easy to plan.
Period 1 will be focused on Basarios and the “Gokurou” (Suffering) monster.
Both of them (including the crab) have Thunder as their weakness, so preparing the gear to hunt them is easy, but the two with unique rarities are more of a burden than you’d expect.
On top of that, with the new season, you need to allocate a decent amount of resources to armor crafting.
In less than a month, you have to produce results against two unique-rarity monsters in the Base Assault.
You need to fully recognize this reckless, brain-dead challenge and tackle it efficiently, without waste, and sometimes just go all out.
For that, information is very important, so this season I want to keep seeking out new information as it comes.
(High priority ↓ Low priority)
Start tackling the Gokurou Tower! (quest completion)
Craft the Gokurou Longbow (also considering the Lance)
Shape the Basarios weapon while it’s on the field (Dual Blades, Longbow priority)
Craft the Zinogga Subspecies armor (prioritize everything except the waist)
Check the Slashing Ammo Enhancement skill and craft the Shogun Giggimodou chest and legs
Attach Dragon Element Enhancement and Shock Resonance skills to the assault armor (expected to be on the Refinement Pic)

New Wave
Honestly, I’m surprised why this isn’t being talked about.
Now, the navigation for Season 12 onwards is being planned.
Regarding the exclusive rewards for ★10 monsters.
There’s already the Precious Dragon Stone obtainable from ★9+ monsters, which is an essential element for style selection.
I think the ★10 exclusive that hints at a higher tier is a pretty powerful keyword, but there’s absolutely no buzz, it’s dead silent.
Of course, it could be exclusive gear tickets or weapons and armor, but the existence of the ★10 Elder Dragon scheduled for the same release makes me feel it’s a power-up type.
(It’s scary that they skipped the steps from ★9 Elder Dragon and jumped straight to ★10)
Furthermore, the Weapon Collection (tentative) planned for Season 11 is getting more suspicious.
The flow that makes you craft a lot of 10-5 weapons is maybe…
Well, Season 10 just started, and it’s a story about a distant, uncertain future, so I understand why it’s hard to get interested, but if it becomes exclusive enhancement up materials for 10-5 weapons, you’ll be left behind if you’re not prepared at all.
(Since it’s the devs, I think the information itself will come out gradually)
From this Season 10 onwards, it’s highly likely to be a transitional period.
If you prepare too early and miss the mark, the damage can be huge for some people.
But if you’re too late, you’ll fall behind and not be able to keep up.
There’s no need to force it, but by thinking things through to some extent, you can cover the distance to catch up no matter what happens, gain a multi-faceted perspective, and always get fresh information to ride out this wave.
Past Events and Goals
6/18~ 'Season 10'
Season 10 ‘The Voltage of Dragon Light Piercing the Fiery Night’

Shogun Giggimodou makes its debut!
Zinogga Subspecies and Shogun Giggimodou can be designated in the Monster Tracker.
Zinogga Subspecies appears in the field with a low probability.
Dimensional Mutated Basarios appears!
Along with it, Basarios weapons support Style Enhancement!
In Period 2
Elder Dragon: Ivalka appears

After activating an SP skill, the weapon’s elemental attack power increases for a few seconds.
King of Destruction [Tail]
Accumulated damage to destructible tails increases.

Damage dealt by Slashing Ammo, Slashing Fire Ammo, Slashing Water Ammo, Slashing Thunder Ammo, Slashing Ice Ammo, and Slashing Wyvernshot increases.
Dragon Element Attack Enhancement - Realm

Daily tickets for June 24, 2026 (Wed), June 25, 2026 (Thu), June 26, 2026 (Fri), June 27, 2026 (Sat), and June 28, 2026 (Sun) will be sold.
The effect of the Special Hunt Ticket is from 9:00 to 23:59 (local time) on the target date.
Tickets can be purchased on the in-app shop screen, the screen displayed in the Special Quest tab, or on the Web Store. Only when purchased on the Web Store, an item box expansion is granted as an additional bonus.
Paintballs become unlimited use.
The time until large monsters reappear becomes 30 minutes.
The area you can access at all times becomes 1.5 times larger than before, and the number of materials obtained from small monsters and gathering points becomes 2 times.
(Cannot be used in combination with Wander Balls, Wander Balls [Small], and Wander Balls [Tiny].)
Limited-time quests will be distributed.
(There are no Hunter Medals in the quest rewards.)
During the following time slots, the monsters appearing in the field will be only Zinogga Subspecies, Shogun Giggimodou, Basarios (including Dimensional Mutated), and Dinobaldo (including Dimensional Mutated).
12:00 ~ 13:00
18:00 ~ 19:00
21:00 ~ 22:00 (Note that the time slots have changed from last time)
This is how far I’ve come.
The Gokurou weapon specs are high, so I’d like to go further, but considering time efficiency, it’s difficult.
For now, I’ll get the Gokurou arms and waist into a usable state, finish the Melze head, and make High Charge usable.
The Basarios Dual Blades are within range, so one more, what should I make?~
Switch Axe is probably the most stable, but I’m not good at it, well, on hold.
6/18~6/28 'Season 10 Anniversary Special Exchange'
During the period, quests will be updated daily at 9:00 (Japan time).
There are 10 limited quests in total, and the 10th will be distributed on the 27th (Sat).
The validity period of the 10th is only from June 27, 2026 (Sat) 9:00 to June 28, 2026 (Sun) 23:59 (Japan time).
Clear the quests within the period and receive the rewards.
To commemorate the Season 10 release, we will distribute limited quests daily.
By logging in, you can obtain a ‘Friend Link Token’ every day, and in quests with the condition of hunting using Friend Link, you can obtain the Event Exchange Token [Season 10 Release Anniversary Special Exchange]!
The Event Exchange Token [Season 10 Release Anniversary Special Exchange] can be obtained up to 10 during the period, and you can choose from a lineup including Dimensional Mutated materials from previously appeared Dimensional Mutated monsters, Dragon Jewel Shards, Friend Link Tokens, etc., to exchange for what you want.
Notes
The Event Exchange Token [Season 10 Release Anniversary Special Exchange] can only be obtained as a reward from this quest.
You cannot obtain all rewards using the Event Exchange Token [Season 10 Release Anniversary Special Exchange].
The event exchange can be used until July 5, 2026 (Sun) 23:59 (Japan time) after the event ends.
Exchange materials will be deleted from the item box after the exchange period ends. Don’t forget to exchange within the period.
Goals for this time
I exchanged for 2 Armor Refinement Materials, 1 Weapon Refinement Material, and 1 Mutated Material.
I’m satisfied with the exchange itself, but it was underwhelming for a season anniversary.
Honestly, it would have been better not to make it the same as the event exchange I use every time.
The number of points you can get is a maximum of 10pt, which already falls short compared to other event exchanges.
And the highlight, the mutated material, costs 4pt, which is close to half the points, making the narrowness of the options even more pronounced.
I think if it had been presented as a 1-for-1 exchange with 1 ticket for 1 item, the impression would have been different even with the same number of exchanges.
6/18~7/19 'Exploration Base (Basarios)'
Season 10 Period 1 ‘Exploration Base’
June 18, 2026 (Thu) ~ July 19, 2026 (Sun)
Exploration reports at the Exploration Base and obtaining Exploration Tokens / Hunt Tokens will also be possible from the start of the period.
Monster Mass Appearance Target Monster
Basarios (Dimensional Mutated) (★8)

July 4, 2026 (Sat) 17:00-17:59
July 5, 2026 (Sun) 17:00-17:59
Participation declarations can be made by June 26, 2026 (Fri).
The event times on July 4 (Sat) and July 5 (Sun) are different from previous mass appearances, so please be careful.
The Base Assault will introduce the same matching function as the Mass Appearance
If matching cannot be established within the nearest base, it will match with hunters from nearby different bases.
In some bases, the situation may not improve even with this support.
Matching is not guaranteed, so please understand in advance.
The material bonus for exploration reports is still duplicated a lot.
I think it’s probably linked to the field biome, but
it’s really overlapping too much and hard to do.
The biome isn’t completely random, but I can feel a certain tendency to cluster.
This is also related to monster spawns, so I can’t say it’s entirely bad, but it’s a problem to link it to a completely different report as a system.
Well, it’s just my personal speculation, so I don’t know how it actually is,
Either way, if the exploration report duplication period is long, it’s a design flaw and I just stop, so I’d like them to do something about it.
6/18~7/21 'Basarios Weapons'
Easing of Basarios Material Weapons
June 18, 2026 (Thu) ~ July 21, 2026 (Tue) 9:00
A new Dimensional Mutated monster, Basarios, appears, and Style Enhancement for weapons using Basarios materials becomes possible.
Furthermore, for a limited time, the materials required to produce and enhance weapons using Basarios materials will be eased!
I wasn’t planning to make the Basarios Switch Axe, but since I got more materials than expected, I decided to make it on the spot.
On top of that, I was able to do 2 Rainbow Enhancements, so there’s nothing to complain about.
I didn’t use the Switch Axe in the Base Assault, but I wanted one, so I’m very satisfied.
Grath reward 2nd slot monster materials confirmed, Elder Dragon basic reward up, Access Circle 1.5x, small monster/gathering materials 2x
Limited-time quest ‘[Link] Banquet of Calamity’
June 29, 2026 (Mon) ~ July 5, 2026 (Sun)
First time: 9:00 ~ 23:59 (local time)
Second time onwards: 00:00 ~ 23:59 (local time)
During the event period, quests will be distributed daily. By hunting or repelling Elder Dragons using Friend Link, you can obtain ‘Friend Link Tokens’ and ‘Tracker Scopes’.
A temporary milestone regarding armor crafting.
Let’s say I’ll focus on refinement from here to prepare for the assault.
However, the 1.5x Access Circle is really comfortable.
Just doing things as usual makes hunting and gathering progress several times faster.
It’s the best that picking up bones and bullying small animals finishes in a short time.
6/29~7/19 'Monster Hunter Stories 3'
Monster Hunter Now x Monster Hunter Stories 3 Collaboration
Limited-time Quests
Limited-time quests that allow you to experience the collaboration story with ‘Monster Hunter Stories 3 ~Twin Dragons of Destiny~’ will be distributed. By clearing the quests, you can obtain rewards such as the limited Hunter Medal, the limited overlay ‘[Rudy Fake] Costume’ (head part) that lets you dress up as Rudy, and a present code that gives you bonus items usable in ‘Monster Hunter Stories 3 ~Twin Dragons of Destiny~’.
◯Main rewards obtainable from this quest
Limited Hunter Medal (Drifter from the Kingdom Medal)
Present code that gives you bonus items usable in ‘Monster Hunter Stories 3 ~Twin Dragons of Destiny~’
Monster materials (Basarios Dimensional Mutated material ‘Mutated Explosive Scale Dragon Scale’, Rathalos Dimensional Mutated material ‘Mutated Fire Dragon Scale’, Dragon Jewel Shards, Tobi Kadachi materials, etc.)
Goals for this time
I like Monster Hunter, but I don’t like Stories.
It’s purely a personal opinion, but
old Capcom RPGs had a strong quirk and a sense of ‘this isn’t it’ that was half-assed.
The controls were too unique, and it just didn’t fit a body accustomed to Dragon Quest and FF.
So I gradually distanced myself, and Capcom is action only!
Monster Hunter as an RPG!?
Impossible!
And here we are now.
Nowadays, RPGs themselves tie up too much time, so I’m politely declining, and I’m not playing.
Well, collaborations are okay with me no matter what.
Grath reward 2nd slot monster materials confirmed, PU - Grand Consecutive Evil Joe Mystery Stone [R] confirmed, other large monster Mystery Stone [R] or corresponding color Mystery Stone probability, Mystery Stone 1km
Drift Stone Mystery Drift Stone [R] (Combo/Reflect/Charge) appears
Limited-time quest ‘Drift Refinement Quest’
A limited-time quest with the condition of performing Drift Refinement will be distributed. By clearing the quest, you can obtain ‘Drift Pure Stone [Earplug]’, ‘Drift Stone Shards’, and ‘Armor Refinement Materials’.
In the first half of the event, the Basarios weapons were completed ahead of schedule, so I started crafting the Gokurou Insect Glaive.
Since I’ve been getting more Weapon Refinement Materials (300), I’m using them up,
It’s good to make them after the easing, but if there are many, the burden of doing them all at once is too great.
For refinement, I was down because there was no Dragon Element I had planned for.
Shock Resonance was there as expected, so I attached it to the Dual Blades’ cursed armor, Froggy Hat.
With this, I won’t get hit by the mutated Diablos’s win streak.
PU basic reward up, Grand Consecutive basic reward up, Grand Consecutive R1x10 additional reward probability, Glowing Eggs, etc.
As a hunt reward for PU monsters, obtain ‘Glowing Egg’ and ‘Shining Egg’ with a certain probability
As a repel or hunt reward for Grand Consecutive Hunt and Elder Dragon Assault, obtain ‘Shining Egg’ and ‘Sparkling Egg’ with a certain probability ※Grand Consecutive ★10 is probably confirmed
Limited-time Quest
Limited-time quests change depending on the strength (★) of the monsters appearing in the field.
① Hunters with ★8 or higher monsters appearing in the field
Basarios’s Explosive Gland x 10
Weapon Refinement Material x 5
Armor Refinement Material x 5
② Hunters with ★7 or lower monsters appearing in the field
Weapon Refinement Material x 3
Armor Refinement Material x 3
For rewards other than the above, you can obtain the same materials or Zeny.
Notes
① and ② have some differences in quest content and number of quests.
Even if you release a ★8 monster in the field during the event period, the quest content of the ‘Equipment Enhancement Promotion Quest’ will not change.
‘Equipment Enhancement Promotion Quest’ Field Special Hunt Ticket
You can obtain a Field Special Hunt Ticket valid for 2 days from July 18 (Sat) to 19 (Sun) at a special price of 10 Gems! Please try it out at this super bargain chance!
Details

Tickets can be exchanged on the in-app shop screen or the screen displayed in the Special Quest tab.
Paintballs become unlimited use.
The time until large monsters reappear becomes 30 minutes.
The area you can access at all times becomes 1.5 times larger than before, and the number of materials obtained from small monsters and gathering points becomes 2 times.
※Cannot be used in combination with Wander Balls, Wander Balls [Small], and Wander Balls [Tiny].
Limited-time quests will be distributed.
※There are no Hunter Medals in the quest rewards.
During the following time slots, the monsters appearing in the field will be only Zinogga Subspecies, Sellegios, and Raizekus.
11:00 ~ 12:00
17:00 ~ 18:00
20:00 ~ 21:00
Goals for this time
It said you could enjoy it for 2 days with a super cheap ticket (10 Gems), but
Of course… I didn’t buy it!!
Because I’m a F2P~
Being F2P is a way of life~
Like an old Jump protagonist, working 10 times harder than others for no reason and getting stronger.
Deliberately choosing the path of suffering Masochism
That’s the true F2P~ pleasure
However, I slacked off on the last day because it was hot.
I’m also properly utilizing the assault rewards, so I can still do it!
7/13~7/19 'Base Assault (Bufarou)'
Season 10 Period 1 ‘Base Assault’

Base Assault Update Planned Content
An update is planned that will allow you to check the ‘Assault Points’ obtained by friends in the Base Assault, and the ‘Equipment During Hunt’ when friends obtain Assault Points.
Basarios Dual Blades (10-5, 17, Beast + Atk 200)
Golem Head (7/5): Power Attack
Basarios Chest (8/5): Combat Vigor
Basarios Arms (8/2): Combo
Kaiser Waist (8/2): Tenacity
Basarios Legs (8/2): Full Charge
Main skills: Fierce Critical Eye lv5, Valor lv5, Combo lv2, Enhancement Duration lv1, etc.
Even without Lock-on, the weakness after barrier destruction is in the middle of the body, so I can manage with a cicada-like movement.
Also, I matched SP with movement attacks to eliminate waste and got 1.2 million.
Hidoshu (10-5, 20, Status Shock + Element 300)
Nask Head (6/5): Attack
Basarios Chest (8/5): Combat Vigor
Nascht Arms (8/2): Full Charge
Nargacuga Waist (8/2): Full Charge
Nask Legs (6/5): Power Attack
Main skills: Valor lv5, Evasion Reload lv4, High Charge Fire lv3, Full Charge lv2, etc.
Maintaining High Charge is tough.
Since I can’t put out firepower unless I get close, the risk of taking hits is high, and I felt the need to consider other skills.
1,481,066pt
Fire Do Shu
Red Kagachi Head (8/2): Full Charge
Zinogga Sub Chest (8/2): Earplug
Zecs Arms (8/2): Full Charge
Nargacuga Waist (8/2): Full Charge
Zinogga Sub Legs (8/2): Full Charge
Basarios Lance (10-5, 15, Just Gauge +0)
Golem Head (7/5): Unwavering
Dino Chest (8/2): Attack/Defense
Basarios Arms (8/2): Unwavering
Theo Waist (8/2): Guard Performance
Ashra Legs (8/2): Attack/Defense
Main skills: Fierce Critical Eye lv5, Attack/Defense lv4, Unwavering lv2, Power Attack lv2, Flame King lv1, etc.
I’m not used to switching from Flow to Just Gauge, and I tend to move ignoring Unwavering.
Since I put out the number on the first try, I couldn’t see a vision to surpass it, so I called it OK.
Multi 4, Palico Basarios Switch Axe x2, Just Gauge succeeded 3 times.
Wolf Fang Insect Glaive (10-5)
Froggy Head (8/2): Enhancement Duration, Earplug
Zinogga Sub Chest (8/2): Dragon Element Enhancement
Melze Arms (8/2): Death from Within
Joe Waist (8/2): Dragon Element Enhancement
Zinogga Sub Legs (8/2): Full Charge
Main skills: Dragon Element Enhancement lv5, Elemental Attack Boost SP lv5, Enhancement Duration lv3, Death from Within, Dragon Element Realm lv2, Blood Curse lv1, Silver Dragon lv1, etc.
No Lock-on.
The score changes drastically with SP, Wyrms, and Bufarou’s movements, so I have no choice but to keep playing until I get a good roll.
Fire Do Shu (10-5, 20, Status Shock + Element 300)
Red Kagachi Head (8/2): Full Charge
Red Kagachi Chest (8/2): Full Charge
Melze Arms (8/2): Death from Within
Nargacuga Waist (8/2): Death from Within
Mitsune Legs (8/2): Calamity
Main skills: Death from Within lv5, Evasion Reload lv4, True Potential lv3, Full Charge lv2, Calamity lv1, Full Charge lv1, Blood Curse lv1, etc.
Third time’s the charm.
Fire Do Shu still has room to increase firepower and is scary.
Basarios Horn (10-5, 0, 0)
Red Kagachi Head (8/2): Combo
Basarios Chest (8/5): Combat Vigor
Rathian Arms (8/5): Combo
Kaiser Waist (8/2): Evasion Combo Enhancement
Basarios Legs (8/2): Full Charge
Main skills: Combo lv5, Valor lv5, Evasion Combo Enhancement lv2, Combo Realm lv1, True Potential lv1, Flame King Dragon lv1, etc.
I tried to aim for score on the last 2 days, but it was too sparse and I couldn’t increase it.
Since the enhancement isn’t that much either, there’s a part where it’s unavoidable.
For explosions, it seems I get the most extension by seriously doing it and receiving my teammates’ explosion bonuses.
Appears during specific times within the above period.

18:00-18:30
21:00-21:30

Penguin (10-5,6,crouch+0)
Kusha Head (6/3): -
Kem Body (6/5): Aptitude Up
Carna Arms (6/5): Shock Resistant
Legion Waist (8/2): Aptitude Up
Carna Legs (8/2): Ice Element Attack Boost
Main Skills: Rapid Fire lv3, Normal Ammo Boost lv3, Aptitude Up lv2, Ice Dragon lv2, Steel Dragon lv1, Recoil lv1, Shock Resistant lv1, etc.
Ammo aims for the weak point wings.
Solo is tough, so it’s a multiplayer prayer game.
It’s mid-range, so both the dive and the charge hit.
If you don’t dodge properly, you’ll get clipped and blown away.
I hit 700k with paralysis, but normally it’s around 400k.
Doshu (10-5,20,Status Standby + Attack 300)
Dino Head (8/2): Shock Resistant
Zex Body (8/2): Full Charge
Zex Arms (8/2): Full Charge
Narga Waist (8/2): Full Charge
Chata Legs (8/2): Full Charge
Main Skills: Evasion Reload lv4, Full Charge lv4, Absolute Evasion lv3, Forceful Attack lv2, Shock Resistant lv1, etc.
Blos is clearly turn-based, so using Absolute Evasion to aggressively load ammo and such makes the score go up.
Joe Light (10-5,5,Status Standby +0)
Isono Head (6/5): SP Power Up
Crab Body (8/2): Group Hunt Attack
Isono Arms (8/2): Aptitude Up
Narga Waist (8/2): Combo Attack
Crab Legs (6/5): Shock Resistant
Main Skills: Evasion Reload lv5, Slicing Ammo Boost lv3, Recoil lv2, Tail Up lv2, Evasion Up lv1, Shock Resistant lv1, etc.
I made this from scratch just for the Critical Blos.
Slicing Light is as calculated for Blos.
I haven’t looked into it in detail, but ammo goes for the wings, and slash attacks go for the tail.
It’s easier to get to the tail side in multiplayer.

Blos itself is an overwhelming powerhouse, and we have an unelemental monkey and a low-damage, low-element rabbit…
Are they telling us to challenge the Demon King with a cypress stick?
The rabbit and monkey are putting up results.
However, there’s no way an Ancient Dragon weapon will be fully maxed during the assault period.
I have to lower my goals.
Dedicate everything to Carna and shape the armor.
Include options other than the featured weapons.
Maybe 3 million points is good enough this time?
(No way I can spam potions with the featured Slashing Axe when the expected value isn’t that high)
(High priority ↓ Low priority)
Prioritize health above all else. (Afraid of cumulative heatstroke)
Approach things with Carna priority.
Consider Joe weapons for the assault.
Use the tracker to make rabbit weapons. (Heavy Bowgun, Insect Stick, Slashing Axe, etc.)
Consider the featured Slashing Axe just in case.

The number of materials in slots 1-4 of the basic rewards for the Ancient Dragon Assault Battle increases to 2.
The time until large monsters reappear becomes 30 minutes.
The area you can always access becomes 1.5 times larger than before, and the number of materials obtained from small monsters and gathering points doubles.
Cannot be used in combination with Stroll Balls, Stroll Balls [Small], or Stroll Balls [Tiny].
You can obtain “Limited Time: Grand Hunt Ticket x 3” as a bonus when purchasing.
I knew the rabbit would be tough, but it’s not progressing much.
Its habitat is only the Snowfield.
Plus, it’s prey for intrusion monsters.
Only one part destruction.
Considering all that, I prepared from the previous season, but it’s not moving at all.
I’m feeling a bit of a crisis.
I’m trying my best with all tracker specifications, but I can’t change the situation where I can’t do Grand Consecutive Hunts with Carna priority, and the consecutive heat means I can’t hunt for long periods.
It’s hard to increase the speed of defeats, so I have to narrow down weapon priorities.
The two monsters that provide materials for the assault featured weapons will appear.
Vishvengoth (Dimensional Mutation) appears in the first 30 minutes of the appearance period, and Uragaan (Dimensional Mutation) appears in the last 30 minutes.
Monster Mass Appearance Period
July 31, 2026 (Fri) 18:00-18:59
August 1, 2026 (Sat) 17:00-17:59
August 2, 2026 (Sun) 17:00-17:59
You can register your participation by July 24, 2026 (Fri).
Limited Hunter Medal Acquisition Conditions
To receive the Limited Hunter Medal, you must register your participation and defeat at least one target monster at the Exploration Base/time slot where you registered.
It will be granted after the time slot ends.
The Limited Hunter Medal is granted only once during the period.
Monster Mass Appearance Goal Achievement Rewards (Materials)
You must have made at least one exploration report at that Exploration Base from the start of the period until the end of the Monster Mass Appearance.
You must have defeated at least one target monster at that Exploration Base.
I handled the mutated Tengoth with Gienna Dual Blades SP.
In my area, the Dual Blades rate is relatively high, so the opening SP overlap led to the same route and reduced part destructions.
So I deliberately focused on SP that avoided the mutation parts.
As a result, the overlap decreased as intended, part destructions increased, SP charged up, and everyone was happy.
Multiplayer is about instantly judging the optimal solution at that moment, including allies’ actions.
It’s quite fun when you can play with that kind of adaptability.
After the defeat, the usual “Thank you” turned into a “good,” and I was incredibly happy.
As for the mutated Uragaan, it only has 2 parts, so Infinite SP doesn’t fit.
Also, there’s a line from the back mutation to the head, but if it turns around due to timing, the head doesn’t break and it ends, so efficiency is very bad.
It stands up at the opening, so melee itself is tough.
So I went with ranged, but I have a Dino Heavy Bowgun, but piercing is impossible.
Shotgun is the optimal solution, but I haven’t made a Janaf Heavy Bowgun.
The next best Rosen Kuga, Naseru Heavy Bowgun uses Paralysis Ammo at the opening, so it’s slow… I was hesitating whether to compromise when,
“Sed is here.”
A voice came~
The Magado Heavy Bowgun has low enhancement, but with Attack Mastery and Bold, it’s over 3000.
Shotgun full barrage turns the rabbit into mincemeat with outrageous firepower~
You are the one I was looking for!!
Kai Kan︎
The drawback is that if you don’t finish it with the shotgun, the next ammo reload takes about 3 seconds (a quirk of the design), and Rapid Fire doesn’t work.
Shotgun 7 is a bargain, so that kind of drawback is unavoidable.
So I cooked the rabbit deliciously with the Magado Heavy Bowgun.
Both the monkey and the rabbit were 58 each, totaling 116, which is quite a number.
7/20-8/16 'Tengoth/Uragaan Weapons'
Vishvengoth/Uragaan Material Weapon Easing
July 20, 2026 (Mon) – August 16, 2026 (Sun)
New dimensional mutation monsters, Vishvengoth and Uragaan, have appeared, and style enhancements for weapons using Vishvengoth materials and Uragaan materials are now possible. Additionally, for a limited time, the materials required to produce and upgrade weapons using Vishvengoth and Uragaan materials have been eased.
I knew Uragaan would be difficult from an early stage, so I didn’t touch the Long Sword, and the Gunlance ended at 65.
Going forward, I intend to raise the Long Sword to 65, but anything above that will have lower priority and be left alone.
However, it didn’t go as expected.
I finally maxed it out to reach the pre-mutation weapon level.
I think it’s good I faced the Critical Blos with that.
7/20-8/16 'Hunting Horn Commemorative Quest'
Style Addition Commemorative Quest [Hunting Horn]
July 20, 2026 (Mon) – August 16, 2026 (Sun)
A quest commemorating the addition of the Hunting Horn style will be distributed. Recommended sets for the Hunting Horn are also planned to be released, so please look forward to it!
“Style Addition Commemorative [Hunting Horn] Survey” appears in Monster Survey
Selecting this makes it easier to find monsters that provide materials for the recommended Hunting Horn equipment introduced in-game and armor with the skill “Charge Strike - Resonance Boost” recommended for the Hunting Horn.
Goals for this time
The feel after trying it out was quite good and fun.
But there’s no featured weapon.
It didn’t have the potential to overturn the score handicap.
I think the Hunting Horn wasn’t in this mutation due to development delays.
Originally, I think the Style Mutation Horn was for Period 1, and the Style Mutation Stick was for Period 2.
This is just my own assumption without any announcement, but
I think some (unexpected) trouble occurred during the development of the Style Mutation Horn, and it was difficult to change the schedule, so only the Style Mutation was shifted~
At least, with this, there was a form of Bazeldin Horn with Buff Barro, and Rabbit Stick with Blos, so I wonder if the developers originally intended this direction?
I somewhat understand the difficulty of development, so I think it’s unavoidable. Well, it’s just my imagination.

Please make good use of it!
◯ Main rewards obtainable at the Event Exchange [Midsummer Special Exchange Week]
The monkey is no worry, but the rabbit…
It would be different if I could do Grand Consecutive, but it’s tough.
Many people cut it as unnecessary this time, so I think the rarity has gone up.
The current Now is, by design, damage-first, but if damage saturates, this kind of rarity will become valuable.
To show it off to my heart’s content at that time, I want to work hard to complete it.

We will raise equipment skill levels and add Drift Slots, focusing on armor made from some Ancient Dragon materials and armor using materials from monsters that have appeared since launch. Please try various equipment combinations this time.
We will continue to consider balance adjustments to ensure you can enjoy various equipment configurations in the future.

Goals for this time
It was a simple buff adjustment without adding new skills, but it was a well-thought-out adjustment.
It was content I had been proposing in my heart for a long time, and I’m glad it reached the developers!
I’m at the age where I want to take credit for everything~
Personally, the equipment I’m focusing on is:
Kusha Head, Theo Waist, and Leus Waist.
I think they have become quite essential-class items.
The disappointing one was the Theo Arms, maybe?
Because the Gunlance was left behind for various reasons, the scope for Artillery was small, and even with the buff, it didn’t lead to useful elements.
It’s the same with the Long Sword, but once you build a generation, it’s hard to follow up.
Group Hunt reward slot 2 Monster Materials guaranteed, PU/Ancient Dragon/Grand Consecutive Bazeldin Puzzle Stone [S] guaranteed, other Large Monster Puzzle Stone [S] or corresponding color Puzzle Stone probability, Puzzle Stone 1km

Drift Stone Mysterious Drift Stone [S] (Double Impact/Fighting Spirit Activation) appears
Skill Name: Double Impact
Skill Effect: When stun accumulation occurs, deals damage based on the stun accumulation value dealt
Completing the Blos Stick and achieving a full combo with Blos weapons, maybe?
Assault preparation is ready, so I’ll do it bit by bit.
I knew I couldn’t make a Carna Stick, so no particular problem.
8/10-8/16 'Equipment Promotion Quest'
PU basic rewards up, Grand Consecutive basic rewards up, Grand Consecutive R1 x10 additional reward probability, Glowing Eggs, etc.
Obtain “Glowing Egg” and “Shining Egg” with a certain probability as defeat rewards for PU monsters

Special Event Effect: Drift Stone Bonus
You can obtain Drift Stones, which are normally obtained with a certain probability when defeating large monsters, with certainty.

Ancient Dragon Assault Battle

Tickets can be purchased in the in-app shop screen, the screen displayed in the Special Quest tab, or the Web Store. Only when purchased from the Web Store, Item Box Expansion is added as a bonus.
Paintballs become unlimited.

(Cannot be used in combination with Stroll Balls, Stroll Balls [Small], or Stroll Balls [Tiny].)
A limited-time quest will be distributed.
(There are no Hunter Medals in the quest rewards.)
During the following time slots, the monsters appearing in the field will be only Vishvengoth (including dimensional mutation), Uragaan (including dimensional mutation), Bliothos (including dimensional mutation), and Zinogga Sub-species.
11:00 – 12:00
17:00 – 18:00
20:00 – 21:00 (Note that the time slots have changed from last time)
Bliothos Lance complete!
Well, I didn’t use it for the assault, but,
I had no motivation… a little…
It will probably have its place to shine eventually, so no problem!
Besides, I’m a weapon collector, so I don’t mind if the weapons I make become useless.
If I can defeat ★10 with a garbage weapon by devising it, that would be the best! I’ll do it when I’m bored, and if there’s something, I’ll use it for something, so that’s fine!
8/10-8/17 'Summer Support Campaign'
Summer Hunt Support Campaign
August 10, 2026 (Mon) 5:00 – August 17, 2026 (Mon) 4:59
Cheering for your summer hunts! During the campaign period, some daily supplies are increased! Furthermore, Paintballs are also distributed for a limited time! Log in daily and receive them in the shop!
Items increased/added with Daily Supplies
Increased
Tracker Scope x 3→10
Friend Link Token x 1→6
Added
Paintball x 3
For the 7 days of the campaign period, the above items will be increased/added with the Daily Supplies.
Goals for this time
I think it’s a good initiative.
Summer hunting is quite hard, and I actually saw my hunt count drop.
Also, it wasn’t a sudden increase, but was properly separated into 1 normal slot and 5 increased slots, which increased my favorability even more.
However, for me, it was quite a penance.
I was originally focused on solo hunting and it was tough even with the normal portion, but it was a grand gesture, so it was painful to process.
※ Lately, due to the degradation of former Twitter (now X), extracting and sorting through information has become a hassle, and my motivation has taken a hit. Updating information may take some time.
This time, focusing on Mizutsune is definitely the way to go.
The runner-up, Crab, also has its niche strengths, so I think just these two are plenty.
You can pretty much pretend Paolumu never existed, and that’s fine.
We’re getting a free weapon for the summer event, but I feel Gunlance is going to struggle on the firepower front.
Unless it comes with some seriously good skills, it’ll be tough to slot in.
Personally, I think ranged weapons will have a rough time against Critical Glavenus.
We won’t know for sure until the lid is opened, but I predict high hit rates since ranged weapon effective range happens to be Glavenus’s ideal engagement distance.
I’m holding off on Mizu HBG, Crab HBG is just for fooling around, and this time I’m considering 5 melee choices (Dohi counts as melee! My insurance slot).
(High priority ↓ Low priority)
Prioritize Mizutsune weapons above all else.
Mizu Dual Blades and Long Sword look awesome, so I want to craft them. (Plan to use LS for Critical; Charge Blade/Switch Axe is tough, so as a stepping stone I want to get used to parrying with LS)
Aiming for complete victory by going all out on crafting Tropical Cannon! (Never forget the Rose Gramps from last time)
Stockpile Subspecies materials for next season. Azure Rathalos takes priority, and I’ll forge others up to 5-5.
New Ecosystem Area
It’s been hinted that Season 11 will implement a new ecosystem area.
And well, it’s almost certainly going to be the “Volcano Area.”
Uragaan (fake Radobaan) and Lavasioth (fake Jyuratodus) seem likely to arrive.
I don’t think the possibility of Brachydios being the flagship monster is off the table either.
After all, it’s a box-art monster, so the odds are very high.
(Plus its weakness is Water, and with water, you can really feel the flow)
If that’s the case, will Critical be weak to Fire and Blast?
Well, either way, I’m looking forward to it.
Pulse of F
Tonfa Strike・Kick・Aerial・Transform
Dominate the hunting grounds with relentless rushes and a versatile toolkit
Featuring furious rushes unleashed from dual batons, the Tonfa is a weapon that doesn’t just focus on pure offense; it also excels in both offense and defense with guard capabilities and jumping evasions. Additionally, its transforming mechanic to change reach is one of its standout features.
Magnet Spike A heavy weapon mastering magnetism with both severing and blunt prowess
Attractive and repulsive forces, slashing and striking—its power finds a way forward in any situation
By manipulating magnetism and utilizing attractive and repulsive forces, it enables movements astonishingly fast for its massive, heavy appearance. Switching between Cutting and Impact modes allows you to deliver effective strikes against monsters under any circumstance.
In my personal view, I don’t think MHF-Z’s unique weapon types will ever be implemented.
One reason is that MHF was an evolution built on the Dos (2) base, whereas Now is built on the World base—the development environments are just far too different, which is a major issue.
There is no cross-compatibility between MHF and Now, so porting them over from MHF would require remaking them from scratch specifically for Now.
Having only the concept and concept art means the effort is essentially the same as making brand-new weapons. (They’d probably have to rework the concepts too, so it’s virtually entirely new).
If you ask whether it’s worth that kind of cost, I think it’s impossible for Now alone.
Yes, alone, that is…
So, what I’ve got my eyes on is…
The “Ultra”-Massive Expansion Content for Monster Hunter Wilds!!
MONSTER HUNTER WILDS ASCENDANCE
That’s right!!
Honestly, “Massive” alone would have been enough, so adding “Ultra” feels a bit unhinged.
I feel like slapping “Super” onto things should be reserved exclusively for Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball.
In other words, with an expansion content this ridiculously huge, maybe it could transcend dimensional barriers and bring the lineage of F into the modern era!
And then the spillover could trickle down to Now…
…Hmm, yeah, almost zero chance.
Even if F monsters make it, new weapon types are way too high of a hurdle.
(I’ve actually never played Wilds or MHF. But just looking at videos, Wilds feels like Real Robot while MHF feels like Super Robot—so if you toss a Super Robot into a Real Robot world, the universe’s consistency falls apart, right? Though there is that theory that the FF behemoths and ruin-themed mascot costumes already wrecked it, but still…)
Yet that touch of madness makes you wonder, “Wait… could it really…?!”
The much-anticipated Ascendance is scheduled for release in 2027!!
Styles and Beyond
With the Insect Glaive style unlocked, styles have now been unlocked for all 14 weapon types.
Is this the end?
Nah, no way it ends here, surely.
Are new style unlocks coming?
As is typical for mobile games, my prediction is that styles providing slight stat/power boosts will continue to be rolled out going forward.
I considered various possibilities like SP Skill swapping mechanics, and while it’s not impossible, it would add more menu items and increase complexity, so I’m guessing the management would rather avoid that.
That being the case, continually adding set styles would be easier from a bug prevention and operational standpoint, so I figure that has a higher likelihood.

8/17 - 9/16 'Exploration Base (Mizutsune)'
Season 10 Period 3 “Exploration Base”
Monday, August 17, 2026 – Wednesday, September 16
Submitting exploration reports and earning Proofs of Exploration / Slaying at Exploration Bases will also be available right from the start of the period.
Mass Outbreak Target Monster
Mizutsune (Riftborn) (★8)
Mass Outbreak Period
Friday, August 28, 2026 from 6:00 PM - 6:59 PM (local time)
Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 5:00 PM - 5:59 PM (local time)
Sunday, August 30, 2026 from 5:00 PM - 5:59 PM (local time)
Participation declaration becomes available during Friday, August 21, 2026.
Requirements for Limited Hunter Medal
To receive the limited Hunter Medal, you must declare participation and slay at least 1 target monster at the declared Exploration Base during the selected time slot.
It will be granted after that time slot ends.
The limited Hunter Medal can only be obtained once per period.
Mass Outbreak Goal Completion Rewards (Materials)
Submitted at least 1 exploration report at that Exploration Base between the start of the period and the end of the Mass Outbreak.
Slew at least 1 target monster of the Mass Outbreak at that Exploration Base.
The base showed solid, steady performance as usual.
There was a glitch where the balloon wouldn’t grow, but nobody reported it so to speak—and I just stood by watching too.
Mass Outbreak Mizutsune is quite tall including its tail, making it pretty clunky to fight within Now’s unique combat system.
Skipping the granular explanations:
Demon Mode → Slide Slash → Lock On
Demon Mode → Shrouded Vault → Lock On
If the mutation is on the hind leg, you have to lock on right at the razor’s edge of when Mizutsune starts moving, so you end up failing fairly often.
Sometimes the Lock On marker for the opposite leg pops through the gap between its belly and tail,
so I’d lock on and fire my SP, but the mutation wouldn’t break.
Turns out it was targeting the other side surprisingly often.
The leg is right in front of my face, yet the opposite side butts in… what kind of design is that?
Once you mess up, Mizutsune starts dancing around and becomes unlockable, wasting several precious seconds.
You can’t afford to miss Lock On. You can’t waste an SP. With that immense tension, the 1 hour was over in a flash.
Also, the game felt sluggish overall.
It didn’t crash, but Mizutsune is a popular monster, so I bet a ton of players joined in.
It’s true that the difference in materials between doing mass outbreaks and not doing them is night and day, so skipping it just wasn’t an option.
8/17 - 9/15 'Mizutsune / Paolumu Weapons'
Eased Requirements for Mizutsune / Paolumu Material Weapons
Monday, August 17, 2026 – Tuesday, September 15
Style customization is now available for weapons crafted from Mizutsune materials and Paolumu materials. To commemorate their arrival, required materials to forge and upgrade weapons using Mizutsune and Paolumu materials have been significantly reduced.
Due to Plate drop counts, I gave up on Hunting Horn and Charge Blade early on and was taking it easy, but over the 4 days starting Saturday, enough dropped in heaps to reach Grade 10, so I decided to build the Hunting Horn.
The Hunting Horn melodies are pretty lackluster. And for Charge Blade, I had already built a solid Jyura Charge Blade, so I figured I didn’t need it.
However, one of my friends was putting up impressive numbers with the Horn, so I couldn’t resist crafting it.
Naturally, since I forged it on the night of the final day, it was no good for Interception battles, though.
Mizutsune requirements will remain relaxed next season as well, so since the opportunity is there, maybe I’ll raise the Charge Blade next~
Though there probably won’t be many Mizutsune around, so it might be tough…
Limited-time quests requiring hunts with an Insect Glaive equipped will be available. Quest rewards include Mizutsune materials and Riftborn materials.
Goals for this Round
Two styles—Kinsect Slash and Awakened Kinsect Attack—were unlocked, and both are thoroughly enjoyable.
Kinsect Slash in particular feels exceptionally smooth, and I felt it will become one of the main cornerstones of Interception battles moving forward.
For melee, weapons whose primary attack method is a dash/thrust attack boast tremendous reliability.
Awakened Kinsect Attack is super niche, so I think I’ll pass on it for now.
Locking monsters down based on attack patterns.
Taking them down with maximum efficiency in a short window.
It’s a style aimed at speedruns ignoring part breaks, so I’ll consider it if some kind of trial-of-skill content shows up.

24-Hour HUNT-A-THONs and Elder Dragon Interceptions

This might help you match with hunters in regions usually hard to connect with due to time zone differences, or hunters with different daily schedules. Enjoy hunting with players worldwide!
“Recommended Equipment Tracking” Debuts in Monster Tracker
Silver Rathalos, Seregios, Espinas, Anjanath Subspecies, and others will be easier to locate. Try selecting this if you want to forge and upgrade armor from recommended loadouts.
Driftstones
Featured / Elder Dragon Mysterious Driftstone 【T】 guaranteed; other large monsters guaranteed corresponding color Mysterious Driftstone (Mysterious Driftstone T will not drop); Mysterious Driftstone 1 km
With the period being this long, the sense of fulfillment is huge.
Between equipment upgrades and Driftmelting,
since Large Monster rewards UP applies to whatever you hunt, I just went crazy with the “upgrade whatever you want!” mindset.
I managed to max out both the upgrades and the styles on the event weapon, so nothing to complain about.
Still, MH Now kids are constantly complaining and whining about every little thing, aren’t they?
Just because management takes a humble stance, their selfishness knows no bounds.
I wonder how much profit these people are even generating for the devs?
If you’re feeling stressed out daily, shouldn’t you just quit the game?
Watching them whine stresses me out.

Goals for this Round
Brachydios has been confirmed as the Season 11 flagship!
The new “Volcano” area was also announced.
With more areas added, area habitat rotations will now occur twice a day,
at 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM.
That said, after 9:00 PM barely matters, and I can only play a bit early in the morning, so morning area RNG luck is going to be crucial.
Also, Somnacanth Subspecies—which has nothing to do with volcanoes—is confirmed too!
Honestly have no idea why it was picked.
With a volcanic area added, I thought for sure we’d get Uragaan or Lavasioth…
Well, I won’t turn away whatever comes, and I plan to savor every bit of it.
Also, Subspecies mutations were announced.
Just as expected, announced right at the start of the season.
What’s more, four species—Azure Rathalos, Black Diablos, Pink Rathian, and Coral Pukei-Pukei—will mutate,
and it looks like a skill will sprout at Upgrade 10.
There was also info on accessories, the Osaka real event, Amatsu, and more,
but nothing too in-depth, so we’ll just have to wait for follow-ups.

Ceanataur+ HBG (10-5)
Namielle Helm (8/2): Fighting Spirit
Ceanataur Mail (8/2): Group Hunt Attack
Astalos Vambraces (8/2): Latent Power
Golm Coil (8/2): Sneak Attack
Ceanataur Greaves (6/5): Perfect Rush Sustain
Key skills: Recoil Down/Reload Speed Lv3, Slicing Ammo Lv3, Dauntless Lv1, Namielle Lv1, Evade Extender Lv1, etc.
Ceanataur Bowgun’s exclusive Slicing Ammo without distance drop-off fit the fight like a glove; read Glavenus like a book and dumped damage. Absolutely delicious ◯┐ bows
Mizu Glaive (10-5, 20, Kinsect Slash+0)
Viper Helm (8/2): Jump Master
Viper Mail (8/2): Power Prolonger
Rathian Vambraces (8/5): Burst
Viper Coil (8/2): Power Prolonger
Zin Sub Greaves (8/2): Power Prolonger
Key skills: Burst Lv5, Power Prolonger Lv3, True Potential Lv3, Element Boost SP Lv3, Burst Pinnacle, Lock On Lv3, etc.
Didn’t reach as high as I’d hoped.
It’s around my usual personal score, but I thought I could aim higher.
I think it can get there if things fall into place, but needs more research.
Mizu Glaive (10-5, 20, Kinsect Slash+0)
Coral Helm (8/5): Sneak Attack
Viper Mail (8/2): Power Prolonger
Namielle Vambraces (8/5): Power Prolonger
Namielle Coil (8/2): Latent Power
Zin Sub Greaves (8/2): Power Prolonger
Key skills: Power Prolonger Lv3, Weakness Exploit Lv3, Element Boost SP Lv3, Namielle Lv2, True Potential Lv2, Critical Eye Lv1, Latent Power Lv1, etc.
Managed to push past the milestone mark.
Practically jumped the whole time without parrying once.
Locked on to the head, poked the head, and repeatedly popped SP to iframe through moments where I was about to get hit, and that did the trick.
In the early phase, Glavenus’s setup poses mean you take some hits around the head, but in the latter half, side swipes and breath attacks don’t connect, so you can rack up points relatively safely.
Conversely, near the rear, the startup and follow-through of the tail swipe seem to have an upward hitbox, swatting airborne Glaives down.
Building stamina with SP and cashing in on massive damage made a huge difference.
I slacked off and lost focus for a bit, so I forgot to take a picture.
This time, I ran Crab HBG thinking Slicing Ammo had the advantage, but I skipped Mizu HBG and Mizu LBG because they felt like inferior versions of Crab.
Well, I really wanted to try Glaive and Long Sword, and wanted to craft more Mizu weapons, so I didn’t have materials to spare.
Still, you really do whiff with Long Sword, huh…
Slashing away locked onto the head is nice and all,
but the second it turns away even slightly, attacks just don’t connect.
The tail gets in the way of the head, and most attacks fail to hit the body.
Attacks with high vertical reach can sever the tail, but horizontal swings miss completely.
For melee, once it turns its back, your run ends without putting up numbers.
I tried for a while, but just sticking to the head and flailing around didn’t push the score up. I attempted Iai Spirit Slash, but terrified of Glavenus, I couldn’t execute it properly, and support tool skills reduced my damage even further, leaving me totally helpless.
Not a weapon for amateurs to meddle with.
I also tested the Water Strike Hammer.
Score only broke slightly over 500,000, but I felt a lot of potential.
To begin with, the style was stuck at 5, equipment and drifts weren’t optimized, and I hadn’t looked into rotations, so that was expected.
I plan to polish it step by step.
Since the score screen vanished, here’s the rough breakdown:
First off, I put work into Dual Blades.
Scored over 900,000; dropped Power Prolonger and just mashed the SP button for face-melting Demon Flurries.
Lance hit 700,000, and the rest went as described under initial attempts.
※Due to degradation on former Twitter (now X), official MH Now info is restricted and my motivation is down. Updating info may take some time.

Broad General Goals
Goals
We’re heading into Season 11, so drop the complacency!
You’re probably thinking the 2 newcomers, Brachy and Aurora Somna, will be pushovers, right?
Just knock out the armor real quick and chill out afterwards~
As if!
When has Monster Hunter ever let you get away with that?
Never!
So yeah, let’s cast aside any wishful thinking.
There’s a real possibility the subspecies could end up being meta-defining.
Stat-wise it might only be a slight bump, but we won’t know for sure until we crack it open.
Even with rate-ups, subspecies spawns could still be stingy.
Who knows what effect the new habitat area will have…
I definitely want to climb the Brachy tower, but considering Aurora Somna will be dropped from rate-ups for a while, the initial push is critically important. (Aurora Somna… dude… you don’t drop unique R6 mats, right…?)
If Azure Rathalos spawns are garbage, it’s gonna be brutal.
Also, with subspecies mutations, can we even solo them given their HP pools?
Thinking back to standard Rathalos mutations gives me a headache.
Brachy won’t be weak either, and there’s no way an Aurora Somna variant won’t be vicious…
Let’s forget all that for a second.
Oh right! We’ve got a real-world event this season (not going though),
followed by a global event (not participating though).
Keeping in mind Amatsu might be weak to Fire/Blast, let’s prepare top-tier gear! (Might not even fight it this year lol)
Scratch that too.
Also, it was quietly revealed that past event weapons are being unlocked. Sigh…
Returning! Eased materials! Really?!
Who’s happy about eased materials when we’re already busy as hell?!
If it’s a permanent easing, I’ll ignore it.
If it’s time-limited, I’ll be a dead man walking while cursing the devs.
Time to psych ourselves up and survive Season 11!!
(High Priority ↓ Low Priority)
Prioritize forging Brachy armor. (Head and Coil first; Artillery is low priority, Greaves at best?)
Make at least 1 Brachy weapon for Interception. (For Blast, Bow or Dual Blades seem safe? Insect Glaive is also a candidate)
Forge Aurora Somna armor. (Prioritize Mail and Coil for Charge Stock)
Forge Azure Rathalos weapons.
No advance info on accessories, so I need to check those out first?
Monitor the event weapon material reductions. (Keep the Period 2 Halloween event in mind too)
Driftmelt Windproof.
Gather info on Amatsu even though I’m skipping the event.
Aknosom weapons look cool at least, so I’ll try. (No reason to use them in Interceptions outside of self-imposed challenges)
With Season 11 overlapping with the 3rd Anniversary, there’s way too much going on, which can feel overwhelming.
Feel free to use my action plan as a reference.
First, prioritize new monster armor.
New monster gear frequently becomes meta-defining and often dictates future progression.
Plus, the event bonus granting extra materials from large monsters is huge.
Taking Driftmelting into account, you’ll want to get them to at least 6/5.
It’s also crucial to identify must-have skills and top meta picks early to finish them quickly.
Knock these out with highest priority.
For me, that means taking them to 8/2.
Pursuit [Blast] seems like a strong contender for top meta this time around.
Priority on Brachy Head and Waist is high.
On the flip side, Shelling Climax realistically only benefits Gunlance, and even if shelling Gunlance makes a comeback, its overall usefulness remains niche. (Anyone who watched the fate of Deviljho GL knows what I mean.)
Even if I build it eventually, now is not the time.
I’ll keep tabs on the numbers, but prioritize other pieces first. (Naturally guaranteeing 6/5 at minimum.)
Considering this, Brachy weapons with Pursuit [Blast] need to be kept in mind.
Reason being: Amatsu.
Looking at historical data, Amatsu will very likely be weak to Fire, Dragon, and Blast.
And considering the monstrous HP of super-large monsters, the value of Blast goes without saying.
Dual Blades lack Demon Mode swap, so everything outside SP is garbage. Part breaking is nice, but since we don’t know how effective Blast will be, it’s hard to evaluate. Good enough dodge against Amatsu’s attacks though, so leaning towards viable. But “just use style-swap DBs!” is totally valid.
Switch Axe SP and attacks seem useful. But evasion is practically non-existent, so using it against Amatsu might be rough. Especially if you’ve already built Bazel SA. Otherwise down to player skill.
Lance looks good at first glance, but I anticipate guard-piercing attacks. Safe bet depends on how far Guard Up carries you. But again, Bazel is lingering in the background… tough choice.
Insect Glaive seems relatively viable. Only problem is Assist/Power type. Might be better off dropping Skill Lv5 and using Magna Glaive instead. That would give plenty of breathing room.
Well, depending on skill scaling, it might end up sidelined altogether.
Keep in mind Blast might not perform as well as expected against Amatsu, so it’s wise to consider other weapons too.
Word is Amatsu hunts will still give rewards even during ballista-focused phases.
Plus slaying rewards are supposedly very generous, so get excited.
They claim the content will make you glad you joined the event, so do your best.
Regarding Brachy strategy:
Weak to Ice.
However, Water works well on parts covered in slime.
Could be one of their favorite gimmick weaknesses.
If slime is only on the head and arms, not dealing damage to the tail hurts.
Looks like the head has the unique drop this time, so using DB SP to break Head → Tail, then finishing with an Arm break to lock it down seems ideal.
Slime is annoying.
At worst, slotting resistance skills? But needing Lv3 hurts way too much.
Season 11 Strategy Guide Part 2 (Aurora Somna Edition)
Do we really need Aurora Somna gear this Period? Debatable.
The Affliction Affinity on the arms is undeniably nice.
Broadens the build pool for melee Affliction Affinity.
However, you’ve probably already built around Glavenus Mail, so no immediate rush.
Charge Stock is practically Hammer-exclusive, but Hammer already has plenty of competition like Charge Master, making armor slots tight.
Factor in Driftmelting and it’s hard to justify rushing it right now.
Not urgent either.
The other pieces are interesting, but when asked if you must build them now, I feel like you could just go all out next Period.
However, this is likely a trap.
Based on Sunbreak, Aurora Somna will probably be Snow habitat only.
(Update: Official announcement says it will also appear in Swamps! Woohoo!)
Snow-only across 5 habitats including Volcano, plus being a rare subspecies spawn—once rate-ups drop, imagine the drought…
Same conditions as Viper Tobi-Kadachi; when was the last time you hunted one in the field?
Besides, Aurora Somna is only rated up for 2 weeks, from 9/17 to 10/1.
Next rate-up won’t be until Period 2 (supposedly appears in Dimensional Links, but Dimensional Links are scarce).
Looking at the skills, they aren’t totally broken, so I’d like to hope it uses standard Wyvern Gem Shards for upgrades…
But what if it has unique rarity mats…?
Danger flags everywhere. You probably need a mindset of hunting every single one you spot.
I want to focus HATs on Brachy, and Tracker targets on Azure Rathalos.
If Aurora Somna were free to track it’d be fine, but if it requires 3 slots with unique drops, that’s rough.
Field hunting will be the main route, but you probably won’t gather enough materials unless you take down ★9s and ★10s.
Guess I’ll be deleting them with Bazel LBG.
Season 11 Strategy Guide Part 3 (Period 1 Interception Edition)
Next Critical Monster is the fluffy Paolumu.
As long as you have Windproof slotted, it shouldn’t be too hard.
Melee needs to target the head, so solo play is actually easier.
Still spends a lot of time flying, so damage uptime isn’t great.
Featured weapons are Brachydios, Azure Rathalos, and 30% for Aknosom.

Completing a full set of Brachy weapons would be ideal, but don’t overdo it—aim for 1 or 2.
I’m picking DB and Insect Glaive, though other weapons will likely yield higher damage numbers than DB.
Fill the rest with Azure Rathalos; Aknosom has low DPS so skip it.
For Azure Rath, Insect Glaive is solid.
Otherwise Lance is standard. CB sounds fun, but my skill with it is questionable…
Oh, and definitely consider Bazel LBG. (800k seems reliable, might even push 1M).
Also, let’s briefly touch upon “Dios Cannon”.
Weapon Skill: Artillery Lv1
Wyvern Ammo / 2 / Wyvern / Slightly Slow (② Normal)
Lv1 Sticky Ammo 4 / High (② Medium) / Slow (❸ Slightly Slow)
Recoil Down 2, Reload Speed 3
(Reference: Deviljho HBG)
If building for Interception, it would look something like this?
Pretty interesting.
There are rumors on the street that Artillery might be added to Driftmelting.
Personally I doubted it, but looking at this build, you really notice the wasted Artillery points.
With Artillery Climax arriving and no other standout weapons, if Artillery enters the next batch of Mysterious Stones, Artillery builds will skyrocket.
There has been player demand for it, so the chance isn’t zero.
Hard to call right now, so just throwing it out there.
Season 11 Strategy Guide Part 4 (Old Weapons Edition)
Looks like we get a free Grade 10-1 weapon from the event.
Pick 1 from Rathalos, Mizutsune, Zinogre, or Legiana. Unless you have a very specific reason, always pick one with unique R6 materials.
That narrows it down to Mizutsune or Zinogre.
Reason is pure cost-performance: unique R6s consume tons of mats and Zenny.
Since it’s free, why wouldn’t you pick a monster with unique R6 drops?
On top of that, these 4 monsters will have eased material requirements for 1 month.
High-cost unique weapons are tough to build normally, but Wyvern Gem Shard weapons can always be brute-forced eventually.
As for weapon classes, top recommendation goes to Dual Blades, the well-known must-have tool for “material farming” and “mass outbreaks.”
Next candidate I’d recommend is Insect Glaive.
Consistently solid results regardless of who plays it.
Great for “high-rank hunting.” (Mizutsune Glaive drops in priority though, since Coral Pukei will get mutated form).
In addition, Lance (just spam Spiral Thrust) is also a strong contender.
Those 3 are definitely worth securing.
Others are somewhat niche, so choose based on preference.
Personally, with Artillery Climax arriving, I’ll throw out Gunlance as a dark horse.
As for my own pick,
I’m going with Usurper’s Bow.
I’ve already crafted a ton of gear, and after debating between it and Usurper’s Roar, I settled on Bow.
Mainly because I don’t feel like flying through the air…
Mentioned earlier, but the eased material event runs until Tuesday, October 20, at 8:59 AM.
Along with the 4 mentioned above, Deviljho and Magnamalo will also be eased.
However, neither is rate-up, and Deviljho (the one you’d want most) won’t spawn unless you switch Monster Research to Special Research.
We need to focus on new monsters, so probably best to just give up on that.
Some past distributed event weapons are also returning.
With so much to do, returning weapons and eased materials feel like poor timing, but style unlock isn’t available for them. If you played diligently back then, most of yours should already be at 10-5.
I’m planning to finish 10-5 on “Balloon Toy Blade” and “Egg Toy Arms”, which were too costly to max out during the last event.
Tickets drop just by fighting large monsters anyway, so no need to stress.
If anyone hasn’t built them yet, you should at least max out “Twin Wreaths”.
