No bases nearby
I walk about 6 miles a day and can’t find any bases. I’d like to participate, but I live in a rural area.

You can access the nearest Exploration Base to your current location tapping the Exploration Base button on the bottom right side of the main screen. For further information, please check out FAQ.

Uhh…they are pointing out they walked 6 miles to find one. There isn’t one in their area. Telling them to essentially just keep hitting the button they’ve been hitting seems…poor
Have you guys played MH outside Japan before?
We here in the west don’t go outside and hit the base button to see the nearest base
We get a message
NO BASES NEARBY
All the time I can drive 20 km and still get the same message. We didn’t get them in the betas and now many still haven’t seen a single base…
Let player set up bases for themselves
I play MHN since day 1 and found exactly 3 other ppl in my town that play MHN
1 is a friend I told them to start playing and the other was a elderly couple that stopped playing a while ago like my friend did. So I play alone since HR 100 soon hitting 400
It would be nice if we in the west could at least have a chance to participate

In other topic, I’ve also seen people mention that the nearest exploration base is as far as 60–70 km away. I hope that clearer improvements will be made before the next event so that those players too can enjoy the Outbreak.
I’m a Japanese player, and hearing about their situation made me feel very sorry for them.
Same issue. While I did eventually manage to find a base, I still can’t participate because it’s in the next town over, an hour away by car. It’s infuriating that I can’t participate in this event just because there just aren’t any bases in the area. At least let the players make a base for themselves somewhere.
It was likely that the Niantic response is AI generated because it didn’t even refers to the context of OPs post. Many rural players including me just doesn’t have a base nearby. My nearest base from which I know is 35 km away which I will not drive to play a mobile game. 1-5 km away is fine for me but 10+ is just ridiculous especially because the riftcharge monsters are there for a week multiple hours per day and if I wanna farm them I wanna farm them all, not just one time.
If not everyone who downloaded this app can enjoy this event, there is no greater inequality than that. I, who am able to play in Japan, even feel bad about it.
Since there are this many voices calling for improvement, I would like the dev to provide some kind of response.
