Handful of ideas, mostly QoL

A handful of ideas moving forward:

  1. A system similar to PokeGo eggs. Walk certain distance, get a reward. For MonHun it can be either a trapped monster that has to be walked off to get rewards or a fossil/egg/giant ore node/other type of stuff you have to “carry” around like in certain quests from the mainline games. There’s little incentive to walk around except for getting to monster we want to take down as of currently

  2. Move Zinogre into the invasion, similar to how pickle works, and at the same time move pickle into the standarized HaT rotation. Those monsters are, for all extend and purpose, invasive and elder adjacent, would make sense to have them (and all future “strong” monsters, including elder and black dragons) to work in the same way. It would also make Zinogre slightly more attainable for solo players

  3. Adjust HaT rewards slightly in favour of players. For their general worth, HaTs are barely worth the effort, and the olny real incentive is Zinogre and triple rare species. Increasing rewards for it, even by 1 or 2 extra parts per hunt, would make HaTs way better

  4. Currently UI on the map shows raw damage of the weapon and a symbol of whatever status/element. To check elemental damage we need to go to equipment, which is really not convenient. Please add the numeric value for elemental into the equipment icon. If you are feeling fancy, you can even add an icon of the type of raw, that the currently equipped weapon is dealing (mostly for new players I think, I know my weapons by heart at this point), a small hammer, GS and bullet pictogram would suffice

  5. On the same note, to check if our SP gauge is filled, we have to enter a hunt. An indicator wherever SP is ready or not would be nice

While it is certainly a strong monster, Zinogre has never been an invader. I think it would be better for him to have normal but rare spawns, similar to the treatment of Pink and Azure Raths, and Black Diablos. Other than that I think you’ve got some good suggestions.

Fair point. Still, Niantic would have to implement best boi somehow and with biomes clogged to hell and back, seeing one in the wild would be once in a blue moon type of experience, whereas invasion guarantees a spawn. You might not figure out where said spawn is, but it’s there

On that note, biome diversity would be nice. Like, I get it, simplicity sake, but I just can’t imagine, say, lavasioth, in desert “cause deserts are hot”. Or Velkhana/Namielle in swamps for that matter

I don’t think this is an accurate assessment of how invasion spawns work! The locations that can be volatile are pre-assigned, but that doesn’t mean that a Deviljho will spawn every hour in that location, even if a 5 star + jagras / kulu / pukei spawn. It’s only guaranteed if the habitat is volatile, but the volatility changes on the hour.

Again, fair point. Still with the current amount of monsters being mashed into a single biome (girros in grasslands? Really?) I don’t see any other way to make Zinogre hunts anything but glorified subspecies (which spawns 1 every 3 days or so in my usual routes)
