Accessibility changes for disabled players request

提案/Suggestion

To the Development Team of Monster Hunter Now,

I am writing to you as a dedicated player and a disabled veteran. First and foremost, I want to express my appreciation for the incredible game you have created. It has brought me much joy and entertainment. However, I would like to suggest some changes to make the game more accessible and enjoyable for disabled players like myself.

In May, I severely broke my tibia and had to undergo surgery, resulting in five screws and two rods being placed in my leg. This injury has made it impossible for me to walk and participate in the game as actively as I would like. As it stands, I can only turn on the game once every hour and hope that something spawns nearby.

To improve accessibility for disabled players, I propose the following changes:

  1. Virtual Movement Option: Introduce a joystick or similar control mechanism that allows players to move within a limited radius from their current location. This feature would enable players who are unable to walk to still explore and participate in the game.

  2. Expanded Interaction Radius: Increase the interaction radius for players, allowing them to engage with the game world within a mile radius instead of the current limited bubble. This change would provide more opportunities for players who are restricted in their mobility to enjoy the game.

By implementing these changes, you would make Monster Hunter Now more inclusive and accessible, providing disabled players with a fairer and more enjoyable gaming experience. Additionally, these improvements could increase player engagement and, consequently, in-game purchases such as tickets and support boxes.

Thank you for considering my suggestions. I believe that with these adjustments, Monster Hunter Now can become a game that everyone can enjoy, regardless of their physical limitations.

Sincerely,
Sean L. Spangler

現状/Current Status

To the Development Team of Monster Hunter Now,

I am writing to you as a dedicated player and a disabled veteran. First and foremost, I want to express my appreciation for the incredible game you have created. It has brought me much joy and entertainment. However, I would like to address the current status of the game and suggest some changes to make it more accessible and enjoyable for disabled players like myself.

As it stands, Monster Hunter Now is not fair for players with disabilities. The game heavily relies on physical movement and exploration, which poses a significant challenge for those with limited mobility. In May, I severely broke my tibia and had to undergo surgery, resulting in five screws and two rods being placed in my leg. This injury has made it impossible for me to walk and participate in the game as actively as I would like. Currently, I can only turn on the game once every hour and hope that something spawns nearby.

  2. Expanded Interaction Radius: Increase the interaction radius for players, allowing them to engage with the game world within a mile radius instead of the current limited bubble. This change would provide more opportunities for players who are restricted in their mobility to enjoy the game.
