### Suggestion

Limit Friend Quest progress notifications to out-of-game push notifications and an in-game badge upon completion, and get rid of the floating progress notifications.

### Current Status

Every time progress is made on a Friend Quest, a toast notification pops up at the top of the screen, but both the frequency and the amount of screen space it covers are far too annoying.
There are already too many other notifications, but this one is on an entirely different level of unpleasantness.
Gathering quests in particular result in huge losses when you can’t keep up with your gathering speed.
When I select a large gathering point, long-press to ignore an Elder Dragon, and try to tap, 4 or 5 toast notifications appear in a row and get in the way. By the time I dodge them in frustration, I’ve already passed other points I could have gathered from. Because of this, the optimal strategy for gathering quests has become ignoring the rewards after finishing the first round and just continuing to gather without claiming them.
The notification-related UX across the board is so bad that you’d wonder if there is even a designer, but listing everything might cause this post to get buried, so I wrote this hoping that at the very least this issue gets improved ( ‘-’ )

About this? I kind of feel like it might be good to build it by cutting down the display area by half (right half or left side—I’m in the cut-the-right camp) so it doesn’t interfere with the original tap spots or anything.

Or maybe putting a small counter or something so you can visually tell like, “Dunno who it is, but someone’s at it,” kind of vibe.

I think on a normal smartphone it probably completely interferes with the tappable spots at the top, so if you ever have some free time, I’d appreciate it if you could fix it up nicely!

Personally, I think the display method used when obtaining general materials (like herbs or claws) would be nice.
That way, it wouldn’t interfere with controls either.
※This idea assumes it wouldn’t appear during combat with large monsters

Thank you for the comment 😊 While I thought the suggestion to change how it is displayed was a good one, it seems my direction is slightly different.
Not just with Now, but any app that frequently sends unnecessary notifications leads to the perception that “this app only sends pointless notifications, so it’s fine to ignore notifications from it.”
(Though it feels like it might already be too late regarding that perception…)
I think changing how it is displayed would be good too, but since it’s something that can be tackled right away, I made “eliminating them” the goal of this issue ( ◜▿◝ )

I completely agree! It’s really unnecessary. I don’t understand the logic behind interrupting with notifications that cover the areas you need to tap. Have the developers never played while walking or riding a train? Once you have over about 100 friends, notifications endlessly get in the way of both the wide-view toggle button and gathering at Hunt-a-thon points.
