@Stampeder
Thank you for your report regarding the leaderboard ranking.
Please note that the Base Awards data is collected after all Waves finish worldwide. Therefore, your results, including your leaderboard ranking, might be different since the last time you have checked them. However, we’ve forwarded your report to our team for a review. If there is any additional information we can share on this, we’ll do so on this Forum.
Do feel free to post on the Forum if you’ve noticed anything else.
Oh. I didn’t realise that time zone mattered. But looking at the top 100 Bases, which are mostly in the +9 and +8 time zone (and this aforementioned base is in +8 time zone), I wouldn’t think that this base ever entered the top 100 by the looks of it.
This is also more than a day after the final wave finished, so the ranking should already be finalised by the time the Base Awards is shown, so no matter what it doesn’t seem to make sense to show that this base reached Top 100 when the explains logics don’t support its occurrence.
Thank you for forwarding this case to the developers. While I understand how the logic behind the scene may work due to the order of things, it is important that the information shown on the frontend be consistent with the final state of things regardless of the order of processing so that it paints a consistent picture to the viewers of the final result (who are also blind to the backend stuff since we cannot see that and therefore the final presentation should be based on this final presentation and not the backend processing order).
We’ve reviewed this with our team and confirmed that the Global Ranking for Top Bases is separate from the Global Ranking for Outbreaks. Rest assured that we will share your feedback to the relevant team regarding your request to have the Global Ranking for Outbreaks included in the Base Awards.
