Proposal to Add a “Hunt-a-Thon / Elder Dragon Interception” Point at Long Ping MTR Station, Hong Kong
To the Niantic Operations Team:
Hello! We are a group of dedicated Monster Hunter Now players from the Yuen Long District of Hong Kong.
Since the game’s launch, MHN has brought us countless moments of joy hunting alongside our teammates. To improve the community’s gameplay experience and bring more Hunters together, we would like to strongly recommend adding a permanent “Hunt-a-Thon / Elder Dragon Interception” point (i.e., Elder Dragon / Hunt-a-Thon Tower) at or around Long Ping MTR Station.
Here are the key reasons supporting our proposal:
Extremely High Foot Traffic and Player Base
Long Ping Station is one of the core transportation hubs in the Yuen Long District, with tens of thousands of residents and commuters passing through daily. Based on our daily observations, a large number of enthusiastic players can be detected via the “Hunters Nearby” feature around Long Ping Station at any time, whether during peak commuting hours or on weekends. Adding a Hunt-a-Thon Tower would perfectly meet the demand of this high-density player base.
All-Weather, High-Quality Gaming Environment (Pedestrian Footbridge Network)
Long Ping Station is connected to a large network of covered pedestrian footbridges (such as those leading to Yuen Long Plaza and Long Ping Estate). These footbridges provide excellent shelter from the sun and rain. During Hong Kong’s scorching summers, heavy rain seasons, or typhoon days, Hunters can gather and play together in a safe and comfortable environment without disrupting public transit. This aligns perfectly with Niantic’s core philosophy of encouraging players to safely go outdoors.
Insufficient Density of Existing Towers
Compared to the neighboring Yuen Long Station or the main town center area, the current distribution of “Hunt-a-Thon Towers” around Long Ping Station is relatively sparse. Many players living in Long Ping, Tai Kiu Village, and Wang Fu Court often have to walk long distances to participate in Elder Dragon Interceptions, which to some extent limits the activity level of the local community.
Boosting the Local Community Economy
The area below Long Ping Station and the connected footbridges link to multiple malls and local shops (such as wet markets and cafés). Adding a major hunting point would attract more Hunters to farm towers here on weekends or event days (such as Community Days), encouraging them to spend money in the surrounding area and creating a positive interaction with the local community economy.

• Location Name: MTR Long Ping Station / Long Ping Station Connected Footbridges
• Suggested Landmarks (Existing POIs that could be converted into towers): Public art pieces inside the station, commemorative plaques, or iconic structures at footbridge intersections.
We firmly believe that adding a “Hunt-a-Thon / Elder Dragon Interception” point at Long Ping Station will greatly enhance player cohesion in the Yuen Long District and provide everyone with a safe, comfortable, and vibrant hunting sanctuary. We sincerely hope the operations team will give this proposal serious consideration.

I have raised this issue many times before. You said MHN uses the same map as Pokémon GO, but I downloaded Pokémon GO and found that there is a location here.

High Foot Traffic and Large Player Base
Long Ping Station is a major transportation hub in the Yuen Long area, with tens of thousands of residents and commuters passing through daily. Based on our daily gameplay, we consistently detect a large number of active players via the “Hunters Nearby” feature during peak commuting hours and weekends. Adding a Tower here would perfectly meet the demand of this high-density player base.
All-Weather Gaming Environment (Pedestrian Footbridge Network)
Long Ping Station is seamlessly connected to an extensive network of covered pedestrian footbridges (leading toward Yuen Long Plaza and Long Ping Estate). These footbridges provide excellent shelter from both the scorching summer sun and heavy rainfall. This allows Hunters to gather and hunt together safely and comfortably without disrupting public transit, perfectly aligning with Niantic’s core philosophy of encouraging safe outdoor exploration.

Adding a major hunting point would attract Hunters to stay around during weekends or Community Days, encouraging them to dine and shop locally, thereby creating a positive economic impact on the neighborhood.

There’s also a Pokémon GO location here. I previously mentioned that the map in My Neighborhood and Pokémon GO are similar, so why isn’t it here?

本作のリリース以来、地元の仲間たちと共に一狩り行く時間が、私たちの日常の大きな楽しみとなっています。地域のゲーム体験をさらに向上させ、ハンター同士の交流を活性化させるため、「MTR 朗屏駅（Long Ping Station）」およびその周辺エリアに、常設の「大連続狩猟／古龍迎撃戦」ポイント（いわゆる青タワー）を増設していただきたく、強く要望いたします。
理由は以下の通りです。
圧倒的な交通量と高いアクティブユーザー数
朗屏駅は元朗区の主要な交通結節点であり、毎日数万人もの通勤・通学客や住民が利用しています。実際、通勤ラッシュ時や週末には、「一狩りいこうぜ！」の通知を通じて、常に非常に多くの熱心なハンターが周辺に滞在していることを確認しています。ここにタワーを設置すれば、多くのプレイヤーの需要に完璧に応えることができます。
全天候型の優れたプレイ環境（歩道橋ネットワーク）
朗屏駅は、近隣の商業施設や住宅街へと続く広大な「屋根付き歩道橋ネットワーク」と直結しています。この歩道橋は日差しや雨を完全に遮ることができるため、香港の厳しい猛暑や豪雨、台風の時期であっても、一般の通行の妨げにならない安全かつ快適な環境でマルチプレイを楽しむことができます。これは、プレイヤーの安全と屋外での活動を推奨する Niantic の理念にも合致しています。
周辺エリアにおけるタワー密度の不足
隣駅の元朗駅や市街地（大馬路周辺）に比べ、現在の朗屏駅周辺は「大連続狩猟タワー」の配置が比較的まばらです。朗屏邨や周辺のマンションに住むプレイヤーは、古龍迎撃戦に参加するために遠くまで歩かなければならないことが多く、これがコミュニティの活性化における課題となっています。
地域コミュニティおよび経済への貢献
朗屏駅の周辺や歩道橋でつながったエリアには、多くのローカル飲食店や商業施設があります。ここに主要な狩猟ポイントが設置されれば、週末やコミュニティデイに多くのハンターが集まり、周辺での飲食や買い物などの経済効果をもたらすことが期待できます。
希望設置場所の参考情報：
スポット名： MTR 朗屏駅（MTR Long Ping Station）/ 駅直結の歩道橋エリア
対象候補（既存のPOI）： 駅構内のパブリックアート、駅の記念プレート、または歩道橋交差点のランドマーク。
朗屏駅に「大連続狩猟ポイント」が追加されれば、地域のハンターの結束力はさらに高まり、安全で快適な「狩りの聖地」になると確信しております。運営チームの皆様、何卒ご検討のほどよろしくお願い申し上げます。
ここにはポケモンGOのスポットもあります。以前、マイネイバーフッドとポケモンGOのマップは似ていると述べましたが、なぜここにはないのでしょうか？
