Don't assign the SP button to an action. Let players press it only when they want to use SP.

Suggestion

Don’t assign actions to the SP button.
Only make the player press it when they actually want to use “SP.”

Current Status

Divine Mode, Sword Morph…
Don’t assign actions to the SP button.
Don’t slack off on making the UI, you idiot.
Are you really doing playtests?

You’re giving orders and throwing insults.
If you stated your request properly, there would probably be people who agree with it, but you can’t even manage that much.
Grow up and come back when you can.

By the way, this isn’t worth any more comments, so I’m leaving it at that.

I wrote about my dissatisfaction with the game system and got a fight started by a clingy manners instructor.

You’re the one who started by talking to the developers in a commanding tone and picking a fight with them.

Setting aside the fact that the phrasing isn’t great, aren’t you going to propose any concrete ideas?

I imagine the first thing that comes to mind is “just add a separate button,” but just as people say the Emergency Item button and the Exit button get in the way, I think this button would end up getting in the way too.

(Also, those SPs are moves that, even from the start, can’t be performed without transforming first, so when not transformed the SP button becomes a dead function. Personally, I think it would actually be more logical to combine the transform and SP buttons.)

How about making it so you can choose whether to split the SP button or keep it as it is, similar to how the gyro on/off works?

It would be even better if the settings could be saved per weapon type or per My Set. (The same would go for the gyro.)

“Don’t use abusive language toward people” and “state your requests properly”

Calling someone a “clingy manners lecturer” for pointing out such basic common sense — which is embarrassing enough to be called out for in the first place — is frankly a bit too uncultured.

And this is an “improvement” topic.

It’s a place to turn complaints into challenges and constructively propose improvements, so if you can’t do that, please take it to the “complaint dump” instead.

(After I went to the trouble of keeping the peace and encouraging the discussion…)

It’s still being discussed purely as a UI topic, but

because of this design, there are weapon types where you can use your SP after being hit by Sleep Gas and before you collapse, and weapon types where you can’t. I think people would want it to be the case that pressing SP triggers the SP action immediately, with the Devil’s Down and Morph buttons being separate.

It’s tough not being able to escape Sleep when I’m on the verge of falling asleep, but that’s exactly why I’m even more careful about Sleep.
I use the Sword and Shield.

I made this.

That’s exactly the kind of thing I was thinking about — the restriction that you can’t unleash your SP until you’ve transformed could be balanced by giving the transformation the ability to also break Sleep. That might actually be an interesting twist, don’t you think?

I agree. When you express disatisfaction, annoyment and frustration is becuase the situation is that bad.

I can confirm this happens too for dual blades. sometimes it does the SP when you only wnated to enter feral/demon mode. and sometimes you want launch the attack but it doesnt, it gets out of the mode.
