問題の詳細/Issue Details
Steps:
- Go to a place where your location signal is completely still as long as you are not moving (i.e. no drifting due to weak GPS signals) and that there are monsters and Hunt-a-thon or Elder Dragon Interception nodes just outside of your access circle but can be reached if you use the Wander items.
- Activate a Wander Droplet (the 1-min item).
- Observe that now the previously unreachable monsters and nodes are now reachable due to the expanded access circle.
- Start a hunt against any of the large monsters within range and complete the hunt after the Wander item effect ends. Do not move, so that your location signal also does not shift.
- At the end of the hunt, return to the field map.
- Observe that the large monsters and nodes that were visited using the Wander item bow becomes not accessible.
Expected:
- Since the large monsters and HAT/EDI nodes were reached using the Wander item, they should remain accessible regardless of any action (or inaction) the player took, especially since the player did not meet the condition of causing the visited nodes and large monsters to become unreachable due to distance travelled.
@Stampeder
Thank you for your report about the issue when the access range increased and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by this.
The information you have provided has been shared with the development team for further investigation. If there is any additional information we can share on this, we’ll do so on this Forum. In the meantime, could you please provide us a video of the issue if possible? This will help our team understand the issue better.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
Hi @NianticModKKI,
I tried to reproduce the issue with the last two Wander Droplets I had in my possession but unfortunately the issue did not occur. I’ve run out of Wander Droplets now, and I don’t want to use the bigger Wander items just to reproduce this issue.
So the repro rate is not 100%, but when it happens, it stings.
If you can check my past usage of Wander Droplets over the last couple of weeks, I believe you can find instances of where I used Wander Droplets repeatedly within a short time from each other while being at the same or similar location because the monster/HAT/EDI that was reached via the Wander Droplet became inaccessible when the effect expired, and I had to activate another Droplet just to touch them again.
If the logs included my location coordinates, it should be possible to reconstruct the flow of events to see what I mentioned in my opening post above.
As for now, I cannot submit a video for this as I don’t have any more Wander Droplets (some of them were “wasted” because of this issue).
@Stampeder
Thank you very much for your follow-up and for taking the time to reproduce the issue.
We understand that the issue doesn’t occur consistently and that you’re unable to provide a video due to the limited number of items. We’ll share your findings and observations with the development team so they can continue investigating this matter.
Do feel free to post on the Forum if you’ve noticed anything else.
Thank you again for your understanding and support.
