# Gyro mode centering at the start of a hunt is different between Portrait and Landscape mode

When starting any hunt while using gyro mode for any weapon type, the starting centre of the camera is always off-centre from the monster when in Portrait orientation. This does not occur when in Landscape mode.

See the following screenshots.

The phone was mounted on a stable platform to minimise movement while recording a video as I start each hunt with the phone in either Portrait orientation upright) or in Landscape orientation (phone rotated 90° counter-clockwise). Then, I took a snapshot of the video so that my taps do not interfere with the phone sensors.

Observe where the crosshair is aiming at vs the large/small monsters in the respective screenshots, and against the horizon.

This occurs to both melee and ranged weapons.

Expected: The initial aiming in the Portrait orientation should be the same as in the Landscape orientation: dead center on the monster, or aiming at the horizon.

This initial angle is too low. Looks like it’s meant for small ground monsters.

This initial angle is too high. Looks like it’s meant for large monsters or small flying monsters.
